Maybe you should join one of the existing teams. There are players all over the world that you can group up with -- both casually, and with more competitive mindsets.

As for the Atlas, use Endo Steel.

Interesting build, but need sell atermis ) I not join any faction now, because i think i havent got full build at my 5 mechs (and i rage sell challenge thunderbult 9s for buy something :D) and not want be burden in team, but i i more time pick not bad score ) Oh i can like messages, ok now i do it, may be someone offended on me because i dont liked answers

How advised here to me play and found people ... And i say i foud only one man (not say about my live freinds) with who interested play ) What the problem with me and other team, i looks at map and sometimes press Q, and when i see mech behind attacked by enemes i go and help him or i cover legged mechs, but other team not see at map and 99% times stuped run attack critical enemes ... And if i talk about help its nothing ) I show screenshoots with cplt before )) Oh wait ... and when i cover attached mechs enemy eat me ))) Russian do not throw their :P But many enother countrys people dont like us, but how say one american genereal, if he have detachment of russians Marines he can conquered the world :P

Yeah, you'll get that in random PUG games. It would be nice if there were easier ways to communicate with your team.
Also, since your connection has been so terrible, you are probably pretty low on the ELO scale. As you get better (and a solid internet connection helps), you'll climb out of that pit.

The rewritten matchmaker should limit some of the worst mismatches we see now. Unfortunately, there is no better answer -- MWO will only improve so fast because there are so many things to finish and fix with limited resources.

In addition to forum recruitment and community teamspeak servers, you can simply add people you meet in matches. That will help with scheduling as many only play at certain hours.

And one fun things ... I play on river city night, and shoot on targeted mech at 1km with er ppc and gauss (i not see him), and add to him damage, but when i come close i see he stay safe at wall and i cant hit him when i see it wall :D (And i dont like river city map D:)

The tunnel on Crimson Strait is bugged. Not everything is rendered properly in it -- including invisible mechs at certain angles. It also has invisible openings that allow strikes to hit through the rock.

The "magical" shot sounds like you hit the mech before it was hidden (possibly due to lag compensation), or when it was leaning out to shoot.

It's dangerous to go alone! Take this. Stay with your team and be patient during the "hide behind a rock and get liquored up" phase of the match, then move in and crush the enemies once your team or theirs actually starts to move against the opponent. It takes practice, because pure brawling is hard, but that build is one of my two favorite brawling setups.

Some people are just careless, but often when you get shot in the back it's because they don't realize how wide their 'Mechs are. Atlas pilots - ironically - are often the worst about this. If you're moving in front of teammates, try to leave a corridor in front of them where they can fire. Some people are also trying to fight with computers that cannot take the strain of combat, so their machines hang on their end even though the game isn't lagging.

Today see 2 interesting things The arrow at 2 secs destroy my atlas full armour left torso and center from front 6 mg 2 fl 1 ll, and at enother game Ember shoot my cplt front but hit back D: (on atlas no ammo at center and torsoses, and hit only he)

Now i collect to Banchee enother engine ... Interesting empy arms mech

The "noob" is right to do so. You're hiding is griefing all other players as they now have to wait until they find you or the 15 minute timer expires.

Don't want to run out of ammo? Take more ammo, be more conservative firing, or take a laser with you (yeah, yeah A1 can't take lasers - so pilot a C1).

Out of ammo and still want to contribute? Go tank - get shot at, so teammates with working weapons get shot less. This is what I do when out of ammo.

Lol i have c1 too, but after 2k+ missles left only some minutes, and i think this guys have more mech in which they can dead again :ph34r: And i try tanked, but mechs teleported when i collision they (

there might be strategic value with weapon-less mechs. Weaponless mechs can act as decoys or meat shields or cap. Depending on the circumstances, this could lead to a win, although highly uncommon. Also, calling out friendly coords is always against the ToS and CoC whereas shutting down and hiding only is if you absolutely didn't participate in the battle at all. You are allowed to do so in conquest or assault so long as it's at the end and you did your part. In fact, it could make the difference between you winning or losing. Skirmish would be different since they have to kill you or wait the full 15 mins.

Well, it might be the same build - been a while since I've watched the video. But that Atlas build is pretty standard - If you're running a "fast" Atlas brawler, and go with SRM6s, the only choice you have is what proportion of AC/SRM ammo to bring. Most cookie-cutter builds develop like that, in any game - basically the game's design mechanics will push you toward points of equilibrium based on what you're trying to do. In WoW, for example, I used to look at the talent trees when building a new character or adapting to a change, and then check the accepted optimal builds at ElitistJerks.com - I was never more than two points off. It's just a matter of looking at what things do and how they work together.

I'm pretty sure that hiding is a legitimate strategy in the event that you can't fight anymore for whatever reason. Sure, there's the desire to end a match early and get on to a new one, but if you're trying to run out the clock in hopes for a win on points, that's fair game. I just can't really condone the suicide thing, since it gives the enemy team the win, which is the same as not trying as hard as you can. Now on the other hand, if I have so much as a peashooter left on my machine, I'll happily charge at the enemy hoping to eke out a few more damage c-bills, but for gun-less wonders, there really isn't a point in hurrying the match along.

/edit: I don't give two figs about stats, looking at mine will show that. I just find it philosophically unethical to try anything less than your best. :ph34r:

Team treason is indeed a bannable offense. Advertising it on the forums, even more so on the New Player Help section is unacceptable.

Those rules are not suggestions. The rules are valid for everyone, if they agree with them in detail or not. I don't care for the reasons on why some are breaking the rules, I will not allow them to advertise such a behavior on the official MWO boards.

If you want to continue such a discussion, you will need to take it to PMs or to another website.

They will be available for MC and later cbills, but not right away. Check the schedule here: http://mwomercs.com/...lease-schedule/

As you can see, the last one isn't available for cbills until November.

Those that pre-ordered (and you can still buy packs for now) will be able to pilot their clan mechs for at least a month and a half before just the kit fox is available for cbills.
