they addressed this in ask the dev vlog number #1 with RUSS HIMSELF saying that they are done with unseen mechs for the time being so STOP ASKING for it, they are not going to add anymore unseen mechs for quite awhile

Archer and Marauder are Unseen tho (Harmony Gold), so unless it's a redesign, it's as likely as the Warhammer. That is, not very likely at all.

As much as I'd like to see the King Crab in MWO, I can't shake the feeling that it'd be utterly terrible in play. It has the assault move profile, 100tons so it gets bad economy out of engines, jump-jets now nerfed to the point where they'd exist just to pull your low-slung ac/20s out of the dirt, and (probably) huge, easily distinguished and focused hit-boxes. 3/3/3/3 or something like it coming up. . . It's just not going to do 2 ac/20s half as well as the boom Jagger.

Urbie would at least be small and have good torso twist probably.

Everyone seems pretty stoked when talking about what 'Mech PGI will release next. How much of that is actually love of new 'Mechs and how much of it is just "releasing new 'Mechs is something we know PGI will actually do so we can get all excited anticipating it", I wonder.

Yea, I'd rather have a new map before a new mech at this point.

If that is what you were referring to, then you are correct, though the Orion is still more correct. The Orion has cosmetic differences, whereas the Dragon has a 10 ton difference.

This thread is just a proof that current hardpoint system is a flat crap. And we need more deep system with hardpoint sizes.

What is one single thing the Jenner or Firestarter can't do better than either? FS9 is as fast or faster than either, the Jenner is markedly so. Both match or vastly exceed the hard points and the FS9s hitboxes really would be difficult to improve on.

Heck, you'd be hard pressed to get the Panther to 100 kph.

Don't get me wrong, I WANT both mechs in. I just don't see the point, currently.

Well that's true for the customization game mode.

But I would gladly welcome the Panther and Wolfhound for Stock match play that I am working on, since obviously they remain far more 'different/unique' when they are stock . Plus certain factions had huge surpluses of them.

So I guess it comes down to if people will think its a waste of time in the customization mode or not, but stock mech lovers like myself welcome them with open arms.
