I don't know, buddy. A 35 tonner moving around 90-100kph would have a lot of weaponry on it. Think of it like a smaller sexier Blackjack. Could be pretty sweet and I wouldn't have to pilot anything cheesy and hideous like the Turdstarter.

A light moving at 90 kph will die very very easily.

That Mauler is keeping me interested--Ballistics are most desirable at the moment.

It's easy to check out. Run a 35 ton mech at those speeds and see how they work.

I'd imagine said monster mech would not be the most nimble thing on the battlefield. Better bring a friend along to protect your slow-turning butt.

Seriously, though: Hatchetman. I mean, come on, people - Kai Allard Liao uses a Hatchetman in the battle for Twycross: we HAVE to have this mech.

The Hatchetman's hatchet weighs 3 tons, right? So just put a Command Console on your BJ and call yourself a Hatchetman. :(

I'd love to see a few mechs come in, Hatchetman is a major one (without the hatchet, I don't care). The Assassin is another. The Vulcan would be cool, I've seen a really nice redesign on here before.

I am very biased towards the lighter end of mechs. Lights and mediums are where it is at for me.

Not sure how many other truly effective lights we have on offer now though. There isn't much that can't be done with a Jenner or Firestarter. Which is really sad. Where does the diversity go when your options are so limited. Bring on a better hardpoint system. Bring back mech diversity.

Mauler could easily run 4 UACs

King crab would obsolete the atlas even more so than it already is.

Both lights would be garbage.

That said, I want them all

It has the assault move profile, 100tons so it gets bad economy out of engines, jump-jets now nerfed to the point where they'd exist just to pull your low-slung ac/20s out of the dirt

King Crab does not mount jump jets.

I would like the King Crab even if it obsoletes the Atlas even further, because we need an IS mech that can stand toe-to-toe with a Dire Wolf when we (actually) get IS vs. CLAN warfare. However, the moment the Dire Wolf and Warhawk step onto the Battlefield in mixed matchmaking, most of the old IS assaults will be made obsolete anyway.

Still give me my King Crab already!

Just to organize it for myself

Wolfhound 35tons
Panther 35tons
Vindicator 45tons
Mauler 90tons
King Crab 100tons

Not interested. Not supported. 2xAC20s on a 90 and 100 ton mech in MWO? Not in the current game, the MWO mechs fold to a couple of PPCs and a Gauss Rifle and this ruined MWO for new players and what you can do in Mechlab due to Ghost Heat and the Gauss de-sync. For 2xAC20's to work the mechs will all need to be a lot tougher than they are now or it will spawn some strange new nerf that doesn't work.

They need more 75-80 ton mechs since we only have the Orion and the Victor. The Awesome was designed for MWO closed beta and could never be made to fit MWO with HSR and DHS 1.4, and Ghost Heat especially. So until they fix the Awesome (Improved Cooling Jacket quirk) there is just the Victor and the Orion.

I'd like to see more Heavy mechs; a 'standard' lance in BT is 2 heavies, 1 medium, 1 light and we're a bit short on heavies I feel.

Heavy Mechs that would fit the current timeline given the leeway they've already shown:

Champion (who'd want to pilot one I don't know, but there it is)
Lancelot (lots of variants)
Hammerhands (lets face it, it's the only Warhammer looking mech we're ever going to get)

I like the Black Knight too. Unfortunately with the hard point system and customization rules all energy boats are pretty interchangeable and a little weak. Except the Awesome that has a host of other problems as well. I guess it really just comes down to which model looks cool to you.

Well that's true for the customization game mode.

But I would gladly welcome the Panther and Wolfhound for Stock match play that I am working on, since obviously they remain far more 'different/unique' when they are stock ;). Plus certain factions had huge surpluses of them.

So I guess it comes down to if people will think its a waste of time in the customization mode or not, but stock mech lovers like myself welcome them with open arms.

I really wish a Stock, or at least "tier 1 tech" mode was a toggled option in this game. Along with a remove crutch mode, taking away coolshots, armlock and such.

So don't advance the timeline cause bigger more powerful TT designs are in the future of this game... what will new players do then? Quit like the quitters of today?

And no JJ. Or DHS. Or ECM. Or Streaks. Or targeting. Or chat. Or 3rd party voice. Or pre-mades. Or torso-twisting. Or cover.

yup, this is an idiotic post. Congrats on that. Always taking things to extremes doesn't make a point. It jsut makes you appear clueless. Congrats on that, too.
