It's a pain, even if you only have 4-7 'mechs, to find the one that has that module you would like to use on another 'mech.
Suggestion to add a button to pop-up a window listing the 'mechs and the modules they have loaded (or even add a column of modules loaded, on the 'mechs inventory)
Why not?

Edit - Edited to make the poll

indeed, why not. I should very much like a pop-up window or 'something' that helps me find them. I have like 39 mechs now.....and when I forget which mech that module is on...well, you understand my own frustration..........

I haven't taken my urbanmech bobble out of my Founder's cat for fear of losing it in my mechbay. I miss that guy.

click on 'home' tab, click on 'inventory' on LHS, shows a list of your mechs - you can click each one quickly and it will show which have modules

works great for modules, but it'd be nice if it showed installed engines too so i don't have to manually click on 'mech details' on every single mech i own to find my 300XL

and you'r right GreyGriffin, showing accessories would be nice too

This is still a pain. Tried to find my Advanced Zoom Module out of 40 mechs. Took a while and still havent found it funnily. Same thing with Engines. This is still bad PGI. PLEASE fix. You have had a lot of time to fix UI 2.0 issues. Still doesn´t happen. I am disappointed.

I've been playing Star Conflict lately, and they have a "warehouse" that lists all of your equipment and on which ships they are outfitted on. Perhaps a similar idea can work for MWO.

One should be able in config screen of selected mech simply to click wanted module. Program should then told you, that that module would be removed from mech-xy and mounted on mech-zy and if you really want to do it. No searching (altho it wouldnt be bad if there would be tab on home screen where all bought modules would be listed and where are mounted ATM.

While this suggested has been mentioned a few times I have to imagine they'll make good on this some time.

The only downside to that system is it doesn't show the Prime (I) Invasion variants in that list, but it can help speed up the process quite a bit.

Remember: Strip ALL your mechs (armor, equip, modules, cockpit items) wich you haven't played for 2 days. 2 days max -_- Be late with it - and you will be doomed.
70 mechs in a hangar have tought me this lesson.

If PGI will make all equipped modules shown in inventory that should solve the problem.
This also should be useful for engines (XL are expensive and often being moved from one mech to another) and, the most important, cockpit items.
