On a different note...
Have any of you been using the your new knowledge of Raven hitboxes to kill enemy Ravens(while in your Raven)?

It really explains why the rear CT feels so f'ing huge.

You will find this to varying degrees or more on all the mechs. Try the Centurion arms. I hear they're one of the worst examples of oversized nonsense in the game right now. Ever wonder why they came off so easy? Hmmmmmmmm....

Fix this. Seriously

You think it's unfair that you get legged by an LRMboat you just mauled and make the unfortunate mistake to wander outside his 180m radius to then get a volley arming right in your face?
I can count on my fingers... no toes needed... the amount of times I killed a raven by legging with LRMs. I may get one leg, but then usually it's the other mechs who blow out your CT or other leg, not me. Now that I've been taking time to use a Raven, I generally die by CT, not legs, and never lost more than 1 leg to an LRM.
I can tell you with a certain degree of certainty, it ain't getting fixed till LRMs get de-nerfed. THEN I'd get behind fixing the Ravens or any other hitbox nerfed/buffed mech.

Empirical data shows that leg armor is always the first to go if I am focused with LRMs. Even when it is a single LRM.
A disproportionate amout of damage from LRM's find its ways to Raven legs.

Or maybe you're just better than me and that's why they focus you down because you're that big of a threat.

LRM's just got a buff, so i'm not really sure what you mean by de-nerfed. However the issue here is that once a light mech, ANY light mech is legged, it might as well be dead. In any light mech I'd most likely rather take torso damage than leg damage. Because at least in the future you can still spread damage around and dodge shots, but if you lose a leg it's over.
It's not merely LRM's that cause major problems but the recent buff to LRM's has only shown how badly the leg hitboxes need to be fixed. When I'm getting hit with LRM's (while piloting a Raven)I'll lose one or both legs before my torso armor is even open. That's a huge problem. Ok getting hit by LRM's in a light means you're out of position to begin with but for any other light it's not nearly the problem as it is for Ravens, instead they take some torso damage but because of hitbox issues, the Raven legs are a missile magnet. I get that you might hate getting taken by a single Raven in your lurm boat, but you aren't unfairly disadvantaged, you can still mount more lasers or be in better positioning relative to your team. Any missile boat who's out of position should expect a light to come by and give it the business, that's just how it is.
Raven leg hitboxes need to be fixed.

Don't feel bad about doing what you have to. This is the game we are given and you play to win, as long as you're not cheating then it doesn't matter. Ever since I gained the knowledge of Raven hitboxes I've outlived or bested every Raven I've come across in game. Until it's fixed, I say it's fair game.

It's a close range mech that has to get close to do damage, while suffering from oversized huge leg hitboxes. The result is a mech that is no more survivable than a Locust that runs on a 32 leg armor timer. It's a trainwreck. Any random shot that lands near you will be absorbed by your legs, guaranteed. That double gauss took a potshot at you? Your legs are gone. That poptart randomly shot in your direction? Legs are gone. Random LRM rain? Hello red internals.
It's like PGI took the Raven and thought "How can we make this mech even worse and more infuriating to play?" and made the Huginn. I'm seriously considering asking for a refund.

It really is a fun mech to pilot, BUT... The legs need to be rolled back to pre nurf. Even at the late stages of a match the legs stand no chance. Lets not take into account if you get put on a team that did not core/ open any other mech and your last standing. God help you.
I mastered it only because of my ocd, then parked it in my bay. With the rest of my rvns.

Nothing against you personally (I actually tend to quite like your posts) but **** THIS ATTITUDE. **** THIS SO MUCH.
This attitude is why SRMs are garbage and will always be garbage. This attitude is why Awesomes will always be worthless. This attitude is why the CPLT-A1, HBK-4P, and so many other variants are terrible. There are tons and tons of mechs and weapons and systems that were really good a year or two ago that got nerfed really really hard, and when the game changed Paul and all the players decided, "Nah, I'm fine with that being awful, there was this one time six months ago when that was annoying." This ******* **** right here is why half of the weapons and mechs in this game are ******* useless.
Yep. Agree completely.

The mech is very difficult to play at first, but learning how to get very very close to the enemy without getting caught and blowing up legs, CT's, and causing ammo explosions to a major firesupport mech becomes very very fun. Stick with mech and try different loadouts to see what fits you. My main loadout consists of 3 Machine guns with 1 ton of ammo, 2 SRM6's with 3 tons of ammo, and a 280XL engine. I have however loaded up an AC/5 and 3 MG's for fun.
Any Raven without ECM is more difficult to play and until the hitboxes on the legs are fixed, the game basically pushes you into using the 3L because at least it's harder to target you in that thing.
