We tend to remove the JJ to get use to the Adder setup. You get use to the no JJ on the Jenner.

After all, why use jump jets when you can fit more weaponry in?

Well he was genetically born and only the best traits were taken for him so I say aff, he is trueborn.

I don't understand the point you wish to make here though?

Since if your trying to be possesive of the characterisation based on genetics and origins don't you still have to remember that some members of the Dark Caste also had Trueborn origins?

I wasn't actually trying to make a point, just curious about how others would perceive Snake's possibility of being perceived as trueborn.

Which is to say - to my limited understanding of Snakes origins (only played MGS3 and 4) he was about as much a trueborn as Phelan was - and Phelans status was debated in the Clans to no end.
IE: he technically qualified, but some had reasons (which I cannot remember >.< ) to believe he was not.
(not just that he was from the IS either - something about how he had been "Born" from a human womb or something?)

Anyways... yeah, was (mostly) just curious how others would see Snake from a Clan perspective.

Edit: I claim no connection to the Clans - the "Wolf" in my name actually pseudo-refers to Lone-Wolf status. :P

I would imagine that having a lineage that can be directly traced back to one of the 800 warriors who stood with Nicholas Kerensky during the Exodus Civil War would be part of the definition of being a "Trueborn", in addition to the whole "eugenics & artificial womb" thing.

Of course, Phelan was a blood relative of one of those warriors (which was almost-certainly part of why the Wolves didn't just throw him out of an airlock after interrogating him).

Can Solid Snake make the same claim?

No, and he probably would not be able to make the claim of being an ancestor of one either. ;)
(If I remember right, they made it so he couldn't have descendants)

Too funny GB.

But I really hope to convince PGI of the ability to hide the Adder with ECM, it would help with it potential speed related issues in some situations.

And this funny cardboard box analogy would be a very charming way to bring awareness to the idea of the Adder using ECM.

hmmm the logic will suffer here, that's a no go area. ;) well there was a time when perhaps feedback swayed the no ecm jenners decision so who knows.

Phelan Kell is technically a freeborn and as a freeborn he is regarded among the Clans ;)

And being part of different universes may not give SS a claim on a Bloodname ;)

No go area for whom?

Regardless of the lack of potential appeal of ECM by "some" players, Clan Mechs need to equally have some access even if limited like IS mechs to this equipment.

Thus I don't personally consider it to be a "no go" area at all.

Pretty sure that both Metal Gear and BT are fictions set on the existant RL universe and the Milky way region to be more specific.

Maybe a sample of his blood was found in a mosquito preserved in a piece of Amber? :)

There is a Kit Fox configuration with ECM so i assume we will get one somehow..
