Simple if we chose to PuG and don't wish to feed the pre mades free wins through the following problems

*They know how each other play
*They can pick a really strong mech combination
*They have all the advantages that come with voice communication.

Give PuGs the choice to opt out of facing pre made teams. If your fine with facing pre mades wonderful, If not opt out.

This creates a fairer environment for all , The only people I'm hestitant to make this post because of are the ones that will go mental at this suggestion making any excuse they can to defend the "Target practice cannon fodder PuGs they've fed on for so long"

I drop as a PUG more than a Lawman anymore :P

I have yet to feel a need to preemptive surrender.

Again, as in other threads, many of the groups WANT a solo-only PuG queue so they don't have to deal with them. Some of us would LOVE a group-only bring as many friends as you want queue in addition.

This will cause even more problems for the matchmaker.

The premade teams need individual players to back fill open spots for each game. They system would break without this (a lot of open slots or matches taking forever to launch).

If they DID make a sepearate room, they would have to offer a PUG a lot of incentives in XP or C-Bills to play in a mixed room. I still don't know if it would be enough or fair to premades doing it that way.

The only reason to have a PUG only room is for new players to allow them to get the hang of the game with less of a chance to be steamrolled. Maybe allow them to play PUG only rooms untill they hit 25 matches, then automatically bump them into mixed rooms from then on out (once they get their cadet bonus). Basically consider PUG only rooms as "Boot Camp".

That is the only way I could see that working reasonably.

Trust me. We don't want to play with you either. A solo and a 1-12 group que would be amazing for my blood pressure

VOIP fixes a lot of this.

If they would stop chasing away new players and have tens of thousands playing, then having a method of people being able to pick what mechs they want on team/map to play/group options etc would work.

PUGs who use the word "pre-made" to whine on the forums need to be dis-allowed from ever getting to play with actual pre-mades. Seriously, bunch of forever-alones who lose games and make it out to be everybody else's fault....ain't nobody got time for that.

Friendship is magic. D/L TeamSpeak, go to one of the many public teamspeaks advertised and be part of the win. If you're an anti-social loner, chances are you'll die alone, or one at a time. Soon there will be group only queues so the unbearable pressure will lessen and you'll have no one to blame for your losses.
I still drop solo quite often and most times don't see a difference whether there is a premade or not. Though I still see occasions where 2 4 man premades are on the same side. That, more often than not does make a difference and should be stopped.

Read about up-coming features before suggesting new ones.

As of next Tuesday it will be guaranteed, if there is one group there will be one group on the other side. A group will not be able to drop without another group to face it, and for example a group of 2 will require another group of 2 and 20 solo players to be dropping at the same time or they will fail to find match. So no, the door to that option is now shut completely unless they rework the launch module again.

You will still have the imbalance that you and the other lone-wolf complainers have always ignored, that pick-up-groups (not lone wolves, which is what you are) will still be at a disadvantage against pre-made teams. But pick-up-groups have never been one to moan about this imbalance, they just get on with it and play to the best of their ability.

I'm just going to blow your mind here but there are premades on both sides.

I suppose it is easier to complain than to join a team and learn teamwork, but you won't enjoy the game as much by complaining.

However I do agree with your main point:

TEAMWORK is OVERPOWERED!!! :P

As somebody who primarily pugs, I don't really give a crap about the distinction between premades or pugs on either team. I only care that the people on each team should be of similar competence (or lack thereof...) as myself. Right now, we get thrown in with people waaaay below our skill level and above it, which can lead to quite a bit of frustration at times.

Biggest problem right now is not premades, or pugs. Biggest problem is a broken matchmaker that decides that it is ok to put 3 pre-mades on one side, and 0-1 on the other. The same matchmaker also enjoys stuff like "your team gets 8 assaults, their team gets 8 mediums" and "let's play 12 cadets vs 12 veterans". I hear it also molests baby kittens!

Anyway, according to the powers that be, the old matchmaker will be scrapped, and we get a glorious max 1 premade per side, class matching, and Elo bracket matching.

Fingers crossed that they deliver!

As I have been saying since Day one I got into Closed Beta. Those times I drop v teams on Comms... I just got dusted by the Dragoons, Eridani Light Horse, Northwind Highlanders... Wheres the launch button, lets go again! :P

In my experiences, premades, (at least on the NA server) don't coordinate the way you think.

What you think is happening;
Premade Scum 1: Ok, we have 12 AC5s and 4 ERPPCs between us. How can we squeeze in more DPS?
Premade Scum 2: Why do we have guys in heavies? Go assault or go home.

Whats actually happening;
Premade Scum 1: Did you guys catch the UK / Wisconsin game?
Premade Scum 2: Basketball sucks.
Premade Scum1: Eat a ****, you suck.
Premade Scum 3: You both suck, you're in Atlai with XL's and streaks.

Heck, PUGs don't even have to do all that- they can also just look for premades in their group (there is almost always one) use text chat to ask them the plan, find them on the battlefield and go "Blob Up" with them.

With no pre-mades and no VoIP, you can still accomplish a lot of teamwork in PUGs with map command functions and simple texts like "D-line", "Saddle", and "Push".

But many players don't see it that way I guess...more productive for them to demonize team players on the forums instead of learning to be one.

Only not censored for public consumption. At least Murphy's is a good bit more colorful and a lot less PC!

I solo PUG at least 50% of my play time, or more.

I have no issue facing premades.

I would like to be able to opt out of teams that have awful players on them that refuse to communicate, use cover, work together or are unable to follow four syllable strategies like "stick to-ge-ther"
