Normally, I love the stuff PGI puts out.

This... however...

I really hope it is a work in progress, because the gold skin looks very cheesey, and not in a U/AC 5 + 2ERPPC kind of cheese.

It does not look like anything worth $500. Really, this does not look special, and cheap. Gold plated mech, not gold skinned mech.

I bought a Warhawk pack, and even I would say heck no. I said no from the get go, will continue to do so. Who would want a gold plated mech? What do I look like? A Diamond Shark?

You do get the entire clan package as well. Still, $260 for a golden-colored skin is a lot.

I said it when they first announced the Clan mech packs and gold mechs that I'd rather spend my $500 rebuilding my truck's turbo
After $530 fot a billet aluminum inducer wheel, adjustable wastegate actuator arm, new bearings, and new intercooler boots I can safely say money well spent

If I had $500, I think I would be more inclined to buy two Warhawk packs and donate one to a friend. IF I had that sort of money. i have been slowly upgrading to the Warhawk pack each month.

I do not seem to be mean but the prices are nuts. The Phenox package was a good deal at a fair price but this is totally a ripoff. If
you are that hard up for money then what can I say? I am also confused that a member of a faction why would I be paying an arm
and a leg for a clan mech? Their are those who marry for money and some for love, well we know what PCI would marry for.

Are you that hard up for money and are people so dim witted that they would pay the prices you are asking? If so what can I say.

Would it make you guys feel better if instead of pitching it as a sale, they said "If you donate 500$ to this game, we will give you [insert gold khan collection description here, plus all the clan mechs]"?

Honestly that is basically what it is. I am far from being able to afford that kind of donation, but if someone else is why hate them for it? They are just supporting the game, making it better for those of you who don't spend a ton of money on it.

If the Gold pack was like $300, with the gold mech/stuff being like $60, I'd have probably bought one but meh.

I like MWO a lot and I'm rather patient and forgiving with PGI. I do critisize them as well, but usually in a constructive way (like Elwood suggested to Jake).

I don't mind spending money on MWO, but the Clan Deal and especially the gold Mechs are absolutely overpriced.
For example I just spend 30$ on SMITE (fun game) and received every god there is right now and will receive every god they will release in the future.
Now that's a great deal and good value for my money.
This however is not. Not even as a collector's item.
