Would the hotfix function regarding changing the mechs in the PUG rotation support putting Stock 3025 chassis' instead of Champion 'mechs for just the Monday?

It's a whole new way to play MWO for the price of some space bucks. xD Coming to you every week as long as people show up!
Any comments on the event? Post here! Top recurring comments so far:
- Keep it to Tech 1 (AMS, Streaks, Pulse, ER, Double Heat Sinks, XL, Artemis, NARC, TAG, UAC, LBX, Gauss, ECM, Ferro, or Endo would be OUT)
- Mimic 3/3/3/3 including one 4-man premade max (my understanding: Free Private Lobbies will be 3/3/3/3 once PGI irons out the bugs)
- Better initial team set up and player rotation.
Thanks
MANY thanks to the people who came out and played the kick off event! My buddies Locuck and Orbit Rain for directing traffic and helping out. Niko Snow for hanging out, dropping codes and supporting us. Lots of early adopters of MechForce: Classic helping me sort ideas and stuff out! To many more!

As for EU units, if you can get enough teams together to play Friday or Saturday early afternoon (approximately 2-6PM EST), then we should be able to organize an international tournament. We are already in the 3rd season of the 3025 Stock Mech tournament in the German community (Actually this season is the first to have 3 league levels: 3025 Stock(Tier 1 stock only), 3025 Open (Tier 1 customisable) and 3050 open (Fully customisable))
For anyone interrested in the German league thread (Google translator should help with the worst of the translation and give you a few laughs as a bonus );

Edit- Great, thanks Tyger, now you have me looking at mechs not with regular play in mind but with stock play.... LOL - in other words, I had a great time!

For those that want more stock action during the week, I'm setting up a separate event on Wednesday's hosted through MechClassic as Tygerlily has graciously made it possible for other events to be hosted there.

Short on time to register at enjin, so bear with my feedback here:
With credit to PGI, this game is wonderfully balanced at 3025. It's bittersweet to enjoy the interaction of classic kiss/curse 'Mechs, knowing the challenges with meta back in public matches. (ECM is probably too strong.)
Owing to balance, my team leaders were very mindful of balancing the values of recon, striking, and firepower. That was impressive. Still, 3/3/3/3 is worth considering, so players can really jump into roles.
On 'Mechs selection, I'd just encourage people to think back to tabletop, and what would be iconic to play.

A ). Mediums are AMAZING in this style of match. They really are the work horses of the battlefield.
B ). With no meta builds to gut enemies with speed matches last longer and on average every players tends to get to higher levels of damage dealt.
C ). LRMs while vicious are limited by the stock ammunition levels. Making every shot count is a must but rewarding.
D ). Picking your mechs is crucial. Look for stock mechs that have balance load outs like the Orion K variant. Also what seemed extremely popular were the CN9-A and AL Centurions.
So come down and join us. You'll have a lot more fun then you think you might.

You know what last night made me realize, TygerLily?
At the core, the game is not badly balanced. Really. When teams ran all tier 1 last night, it was glorious. It's when anything tier 2 showed up (ECM, NARC, Gauss) things went to crap, almost instantly. Coincidentally, every other time in MW or Btech that tier 2 and higher tech comes into play, things fall apart balance wise. And back in the old RnR days, if one didn't run tier 2 tech (specifically XL engines and Artemis) one always made money. If you ran tier 2, you rolled the dice. Makes me think how short sighted the cries to remove RnR were, when what it really needed was some tuning, and the exploits removed (no auto repair of 75%).
Sadly, the cries of the maxtech minmaxxers will always drown out common sense, even when those same people are the ones crying about the broken balance. But I am thinking if we were to run some tier 1 vs clans, in 8v5 fights, it would really capture the feel of the Clan Invasions. And if the Clan Tech proved too OP in that scenario (people complaining the Clans are too watered down forget the IS faced the Clans with 98% Tier 1 Mechs, until the Com Guards at Tukayid, in which, the tech gap closed precipitously), we could allow for 1-2 Tier 2 mechs per IS team (to represent the emergence but still extreme rarity of recovered Star League tech.).
But I would say my only observation from last night was tier 2 was almost always too much a force magnifier, and that allowing tier 2 mechs would simply end up channelling people into a select few chassis, and those running tier 1 mechs will be totally outgunned. When we settled on tier 1 vs tier 1, it was great fun, and astonishing how many maligned mechs stood their own, like Dragons and Awesome, once again.
Perhaps someone needs to drag
The other thing it made me realize, is in many ways, the Devs might not be 100% wrong. Imagine if out of the two 12 mans, if just ONE lance had been equipped with the dreaded, reviled 1.4 DHS? They would have absolutely mopped the floor with the other team. True 2.0....forget about it. And that is about the separation the SLDF military should have over the IS Succession War Militaries.
What the Devs need to do is research a way to make tier 2 tech much less prevalent. I don't think one can fully in-game mechanic balance that degree of difference, so I really feel it does need some form of RnR re-introduced, or possibly even them adding some drawback to DHS, since obviously their bulk is nowhere near enough to prevent them from being a mandatory upgrade.
But playing last night, I must say, there would be ZERO need for things like Ghost Heat. If nothing else, Stock Tech or Tier one tech should be a drop option like the Assault/Conquest/Skirmish, because I tell you, if I earned XP playing this, I would never play any other style. And I think it would allow the numeric shifts needed to give the proper feel to Clan vs IS; which is one thing this game will sadly lack with the current plans.

was fun playing with and against you, Niko. You need to drag one of the Big 3 into it in the future, even if in a super secret stealth account, so they can maybe be reminded of how the game SHOULD feel.

My CTF-4X was also pretty fun to run. No heat problems at all.

The channels on the TS remain open for use for as long as folks would like to use them, so any night is viable for these. Feel free to drop by the Clan Hub TS to look for stock mech pilots anytime.

And also max damage levels were precipitously lower. No 1000 point scores here...if one does pull one, it's going to be VERY earned.
Also would note, TEAMWORK was very much more vital, as you are going to take all day to 1v1 somebody, and so being able to focus fire, and to cover each others range and heat limitations, was essential for wins. Really nice to see the "team" back in a team game.
And totally agree about what shined. I ran a SHD-2H through most of the night, and had a blast. Minimal heat issues (less than my usual tier 2 customs have) and truly filled it's role as a jack of all trades support mech, just like the TRO 3025 version was supposed to be. Also, HBKs of almost all stripes (save the poor 4P) played well, and minus multiple 30 pt alphas, the Hunch was not insta vaporized.

Hey Lukoi, know anyone that would want to help set up some Clan v IS, 5v8 drops? Pure Tier 1 IS mechs vs pure "Configuration" Omnis? Was thinking it would make a great "Clan Invasion Launch" Night. I'd be totally willing to help set it up. And have connections with people in House Steiner, House Marik, Clan Ghost Bear, and many Merc Corps to pass it along with.

I've desperately wanted a stock only game mode ever since closed beta in order to earn c-bills and xp that way as an alternative. I'm more of an old school player and like the immersion of battling it out with Mechs straight out of Lore, and even used stocks in the old games for the challenge of it.
But for now, MechClassic is the cure for me to play the game as I have been bummed with mwo for a long time.
Basically the battles looked like this which shows a bunch of stock 'Mechs
