I love the diversity of more than just Dragon Slayers on the team matchups!!

Yes, good job to all for bringing out so many different 'Mechs. Some haven't been seen in ages. Let's get some Trebuchets out there and bring some 'Mechs and their variants from the edge of extinction!

I believe watching you after I die was the very first time I have ever seen an SRM-2 used! They recycle really fast!

I may have to attend more of these in the future. It sure is a fun way to level the playing field.

But I must admit afterwards I went back with my unit last night and dropped 4 mans as we usually do (with non-stock builds of course) and it was refreshing to pilot a mech tuned out just how I like it. Hope that won't prevent me from getting invites to stock mech events in the future :)

HERETIC!

Don't worry, there's always room for another potential convert. We just require more time to work on you! Hehehehe :(

If I'm not in a stock 'mech, I'm in my meta dragon slayer making money for stock 'mechs.

The worst part about Stock Mech Monday is that now I can't bring myself to play a public match on the main server :)

Looks like I'm going to be stuck with 7 million C-bills for a while . . .

I still enjoy vanilla mechwarrior, but for me when this game was announced I wanted an online Battletech simulator. With SMM and the lobby, we can have that.

Ditto, out of curiosity how many people would be up for Low-tech Tuesdays, or Factory-spec Fridays?

It's pretty funny that the most interesting, positive, and fun thing to happen in over a year is a player run stock mech day. Kudos to everyone who organized and participated! I'll definitely see if I can check it out next week!

Man, I hope this becomes popular enough that stock matches can be an ongoing thing instead of just an event that my time zone would make difficult.

Looking at some of the factory loadouts for the Succession Wars era variants we have (and some of my favourites from BT and this games closed beta) is making me giddy with the thought of playing them in stock matches. The stock HBK-4G is looking mighty attractive, the sultry minx. The DRG-5N might be fun also.

Actually having to look at loadouts and armour and consider tradeoffs is so refreshing compared to just choosing the gunbag with the best hitboxes and meta-friendly hard points.

As far as this rule goes, you've got a slight miscommunication between the OP post and the tutorial on Mechforce Classic, which states following:

"DO USE modules and consumables! They are fun (UAV ftw)! But of course, you can always agree with your opponent to restrict some or all of them."

Which one actually applies?

DDC gets consumables. Tyger might not have updated it everywhere yet. The whole thing is a work in progress as the kinks and such get hammered out. Still a lot of fun.

There is also an ongoing discussion about tech level 2 mechs and the future of mechforce classic nights in regards to the clan mechs coming out later on.

Also remember that it isn't a tourny league or anything, so if both teams agree to use something that is outside of the bounds of the rules (one hero mech per side etc) then that is fine since it is just for fun.

I believe the idea behind this is that the D-DC employs the command chair, which in-game is about as useful as a lawn chair. The consumables use is supposed to reflect this defunct item's capability in the stock games.

Aw sorry. We originally wanted to have everyone use them but then we got to talking about the Atlas's Command Console. Lots of people wanted no modules/consumables as a whole and we decided to make the CC worth something by having it allow modules. I tried to update all the posts we made but I must have missed one! Thanks for pointing it out! xD
