What about capping a Firebrand at 60 tons and using the correct equipment to simulate a Rifleman?
Kind of like how you are using an Orion to simulate a Marauder?

Like this: RFL-3N

(I put that together with the info from Sarna, I don't know the actual armor values etc. are.)

P.S.: Should we have a separate thread for build questions?

Here, I've changed that build of yours to mirror RFL-3N according to the canon mech sheet.
There's one change to the whole thing, the engine is STD 235 instead of STD 240.

The reason for this is simple and complicated at the same time (the 65t chassis means you can't take the 10th 'free' heatsink + BTech STD 240 != MWO STD 240). However, if you don't mind purism, since other stock mechs ignore it to an extent through the speed boost inconsistencies as well, you should just install STD 240 and call it a day. You're still willfully going into a match under your tonnage and in a death trap to boot (but that's half the fun, isn't it? ;)).

From what I gather, General Taskeen is running a game with customization options -- Stock 'Mech Mondays have stated in a couple of posts that they are running 'Mechs as they come purchased to avoid confusion if an Orion is actually an Orion, or just a reskinned Marauder.

Stock Monday is tonight. You've had a week to scrounge up a pack of c-bills to revert all of those min/max-metahumping children's toys back to stock! Let's see what you're bringing to the party tonight:

In my case:

Atlas AS7-D(F)
Locust LCT-1V
Thunderbolt TDR-5S
Battlemaster BLR-1D
Griffin GRF-1S
Locust LCT-1E
Hunchback HBK-4G

I will be a little late to the party, but:

CN9-YLW
SHD-2H
ON1-K
VTR-9B
BLR-1D

all ready and raring to go. Will probably add my Founder's to the list when I get a little more free cbills to pay for downgrades.

Was there any specific weight class under represented in last week's SMM?

I don't want to invest in a new stock mech only to find I'm trying to drop in the same weight class as everyone else. I'm guessing Mediums?

There were only a few light pilots in the matches I played, but I don't know about the other groups that night.

I feel like heavies were a little under-represented, except maybe in the game where we were swamped by K2s.

Well, I would never do a higher tonnage for a Surrogate Mech, too much wasted tonnage.

Rifleman-3N is hard to simulate at its actual tonnage, closest is, ironically, a Hero some do not like, the Fang. 2 Ballistic in one arm for AC/5, 2 Energy in the other for LL plus 1 side torso Energy for a ML, when done you will only have to figure out what to do with the 1 ton from the missing ML. The 3C could be done on the IV-Four, ML in CT instead of RT/LT. The 4D would be any non-Hero Quickdraw with 2 of the weapons in the torsos instead of the arms.

So far, I have only found 14 Mechs not in MWO that could be accurately replicated with what we have, 1 is missing some tonnage due to engine limits, another I have no idea how I cannot fit on it everything it should have by TT unless it got errata I missed. All have the correct weapons in the correct locations. Others could be done if you excuse weapon locations like the RFL-3C and -4D I mention above.

Guess that would be this, changes era it seems so different Stock Mechs each week.

This might give you some ideas: http://MechForceClas...jin.com/members Members are sorted by what weight class they have Mechs for. Interestingly: 40 Medium Pilots, 31 Heavy Pilots, 29 Light Pilots, 24 Assault Pilots (plus 29 more that haven't indicated)!

...or haven't figured out where in the site you indicate that!

All those 'Mechs are pretty fun Lordred. I'm missing the SP though. Also the 8Q is a beast in Stock like its supposed to be. An Atlas or Battlemaster paired with an Awesome is a terrifying sight.

I'd like it if all stock mechs became available as trials at all times, or even in a stock mech mode with no unlocks and readily available stock mechs.
