I just read that last post (some of it) you made. Boy schooling might be an under-statement here. That was more like a lecture.

Oops... Lecture. Schooling. Isn't lecturing part of schooling?
Do you feel I at least made good points/presented correct information? I'd hate it if i found out I was wrong...

Over all you did a good job. You're running into the fanboy factor, and the fact that most people don't actually understand why clan tech was "superior". It was superior because the IS was running STOCK mechs. It was superior because you could change the loadout, and configuration of your mech within hours. Instead of taking 6 months to rebuild the right arm so it could house 3 MLs, instead of an AC5. It was superior because they had DHS while most IS mechs were still running SHS.
THAT is why it was superior. It was superior to STOCK mechs. Our customized, and upgraded mechs are on par with it. In fact, most IS mechs right now should be considered Jihad era mechs because of the tech in them. We've got C3i units that take no weight, and not slots.

Pretty much. I go a step beyond though. The kind of customizing here in MWO is "open custom" with no set rules of what you play against (the matchmaker thing). Obviously people set rules in TT or MegaMek before they play, and even THEN the "open custom" style in MWO is really outside the norm of a normal game of BattleTech. In the previous MechWarrior games, the Admin could also set rules based on server settings. Basically any of those Mechs that are used in the open games of MWO I would consider "Experimental" and that designiation would come with negative design quirks. Like a 300XL Jenner would be falling all over the place and require piloting checks, etc.
But yeah the actual battles of Clan stocks vs IS stocks in board game or lore is supposed to be lopsided, which is also why IS gets more advantages like ambush iniatives or simply superior overwhelming numbers.

Blah. There is no easy solution for this, is there?
I'd be all for moving the expected start time back 3 hours, but I wouldn't be able to join until it's current start time anyway if it was still in progress. You guys can always start sooner if you can get enough people on board...

But, we should try and find hours/days that work best for as many people as possible. If we try to plan around every person so everyone can join, we wont get very far.

The Monday event is mainly for NA players. While the Wednesday event is for EU players. At least, that has been my understanding.

I'm still here, every Monday (unless something stops me, but then I normally try and give notice if possible). I'm logged onto the TS channel right now as it is, waiting to see if anyone will join. Just hop into the channel if you are interested. If enough people pop in, we'll see about getting something started.

Sorry to hear that. Always fun playing with you (even if I can only understand most of what you say and not all of it). We'll have to see if we can adjust the event to a better time for everyone. Maybe Tuesday? I have all day Tuesday off myself, and could play much earlier matches then...
