Still not a thing? I'm not the won with the preemptive news anyway. Always the last one to find out about anything.
I actually haven't even played Stock matches in so long. (Friends want my attention on Mondays, and without chat, it's been hard to just know when/where to gather to get it going.)

Not that we didn't want to use it... we couldn't seem to get on it.
We've been drifting for a while looking for some way to establish communications. If the old TS servers are still available, we'll probably go back to them again.

I read in another thread that Russ had stated that a Stock game type would need to be proven in private matches first. What sort of matches did SMM run?
Different drop sizes with different tonnage restrictions seem fun in my head, as one of the big appeals a CBT style mode has to me is the concept of drops without heavies or assaults, or when you do run larger drops, having the assaults be much rarer in numbers and therefore, far more significant as an individual.
As the community, what can we do to promote interest and develop the concept of stock matches?

Russ said he wants to add a "stock mech" button into private matches, that allows you to field a stock version of your mech.

That’s not how you make a game, IMO. Customizing ‘Mech loadouts is fun, so it should be fun in PVP. You use BV or some other system to make it fair. Giving the host the ability to say “stock ‘Mechs only” shouldn’t be that hard, btw
Hey Sylver! >>>stock league and a custom league?<<<
Hmm. Could work. We’ll see when we get there. See above answer, though.

I have one made. With the tag TRO- I believe. It's with my Stock only account... I can invite any account in if you want to join. Just let me know the user name and I'll try to fumble my way though getting you in. (Haven't done anything with that account for a while now...)

Maybe one day...
Dec 1st Patch) Single heat sinks buff and nerfs to the agility of the skill tree are cool for stock players. The jiggering with the quirks are interesting too...A LOT of them became general quirks rather than specific. Which is cool because some Mech's quirks didn't line up with their stock loadouts.
