Initially it was just the gold mech. They changed that later.

I would if paying $260 for a paint job wasn't so incredibly stupid. There would have to be more than just paint to differentiate the mech. Even then, it would have to make beer pour out of my USB ports and sandwiches spit out of my optical drive for it to be worth it.

Silly money tbh.
I agree with others they are just painting a massive bullseye on themselves when they run one.
Even If I won the lotto I wouldn't pay this much for one...even If it was real lol.
Makes me laugh when you see only 50 left...I bet they started with 51 lol.

I would buy a gold mech if this game was somewhat complete
and if the money the founders spent actually went into the game in the first place
and if this game wasn't made by PGI
If a developer with a solid history of quality content was at the helm, then maybe
but definitely not with these guys

I would buy one if it was at 50$ and I was guarenteed I wouldnt be shot by my own team...

edit: Correct that: I wouldnt buy it anyway because I would blow myself up in it just to kill one of those goldmechs

If it came with a set of 24, one foot tall lawn sprinklers that looked like mechs. That every morning would spring to life and battle it out with water. Would be great to see the pod doors open on a little catapult and start swingin back and forth spraying water lmao. mann I might need to quit some of my bad habits

I would consider buying a Gold $500 mech if they came with godmode and instagib.

$460ish for a Gold skin... How much will the Lyran Royal Guards Colors cost?

or the Izanagi Warriors House Unit?

WOW. Firstly... gold isn't a cool color. It needs to be shiney chrome or even a mirror finish. Secondly... will there be some sort of clan wars? I read somewhere there is going to be battles spanning across planets like a MMO game. But all I can find are these Tribes Ascent-like games, 12 vs 12.

Id buy a gold mech, if PGI didnt misrepresent the truth all the time. If CW wasnt over 2 years behind schedule. If PGI didnt seem to think that Founder's arent their target audience any more. If PGI actually put their team towards content instead of mech packages.

So a recap ... PGI should stop lying. Stop rehashing core game play in order to give the illusion of "work". PGI should complete those original promises that were given instead of insulting their player base.

Yes, the creation of private matches is a total insult.

Well, it is a total insult to those who wanted Community Warfare over eSports.

IF MWO is the only game left standing, and the clanmechs are somehow pay2win.

Both conditions have to be met before I even consider one.

I might consider buying a gold mech IF IF it could stand in direct concentrated fire from enemy players and stay alive more than 30 seconds. Maybe PGI could add x3 the layer of armor so I could feel like im not playing in a paper mech.

There is less than 50 left! That's just cruel. How to decide. Will there be clan vs is wars spanning across planets or not? Can developer answer this? Ill never play again if this game becomes epic and I do not own a gold mech >:) no joke.

You know what would really sell those gold mechs? The promise of Alpha access to the large scale interplanetary battles. lol (Community Warfare I believe its dubbed)

Seriously, I hate gold. Always have.

If it was tintable/paintable but super shiny.
Because shiny is better than gold. Gold can't be repainted.

It doesn't say anything about dropships, four waves of attacks, or series of scheduled matches, canon groups guided by developers then eventually handed off to elected players, ect...

EDIT" Oh nevermind I see what your getting at, it says 2011. And it was supposed to be released in the summer after dropship mode. Was it cancelled? Its hard to find info about it on this forum. And was VOIP cancelled?
