lol love that crack about "Do you take us for a mod team? :)" its low blow to mwll team. mwhahahahaha !!!

I'm fairly sure Bryan did not mean it in that context. PGI has expressed nothing but admiration for what the team working on MWLL has done.

Cheers.

I will happily donate money to keep the Gaming version of mechwarrior franchise alive. But mainly for love.. Just pure sexual love

I don't think it was meant to slight the guys over at MW:LL... it just means that PGI has available resources to get things done and not 100% constrained by being controlled by the engine.

The guys over at MW:LL did some amazing stuff with what they had

I don't think it was a direct swipe at MWLL...he was just stating the obvious that any "professional developer" should know: real studios invest in real licenses...it's sort of necessary.

Like i Said before there are different options. And the LUA engine is quite powerful.
But to accomplish what they want to do youd need a source.
Cryengine even has a direct license for free to play games.

It is my understanding that phase 1 beta invites have all gone out, and phase 2 invites that go out pre 8/7/12 are for founders only.

It is, indeed, unfortunate that we have to make a blind financial commitment - those of us unfortunate to not have beta access. However, given that any decent new game on the shelves today is $60 we shouldn't feel too put out by spending that much for whatever enjoyment we may get out of MWO... the 'Legendary' pack is strictly for those who know what they're paying for... or have more money than sense - a common trait, it seems.

My only real complaint is not knowing which of the four founder mechs is worth the blind pick... for the 'Elite' pack, I mean.

yeah yeah i know. im sorry for taking it out of context. I just assumed its competition for the developers directly. The mwll team are probly the reason why there is a demand for mechwarrior on the pc. They keep all our dreams alive, some wetter than others, but alive. All respect to each & may the games begin.

Yeah a informed decision is a good one. SO they are making you pick your mech first? And you dont even really know what you can put in it etc and mod it etc. hrmms.

Ok, did this really need a thread? If you have reservations about dropping money that's cool. Just wait until you can play, ill enjoy my Founders pack. Frankly my main reason for buying a pack is to support the devs to make an awesome Mech warrior game.

Don't worry, guys. He'll come around. They all do.

Whether or not it's in time to make a difference is still in question, however...
