That's pretty neat! Not especially relevant in a thread about factional roleplay in a game where WWII is lost in the mists of time, mind you, particularly because we don't know if Lord Kurita is a descendant of that ancient admiral, but neat regardless.

Does the lack of activity mean that the other Houses concede Kurita is ultimately superior and should ascend to the head of a new Star League?

I am almost certain that they are actually related to the Admiral of WW2, I will try and dig up the reference for you.

The Sarna article on House Kurita says it's a possibility, but no more.

Here it is,

Page 8 House Kurita Handbook (coded 1620)

"The following excerpt from a 24th centuary fictional video drama is loosley based on the life of Takeo Kurita, a Japanese Admiral of the mid 20th Centuary. Though it is likely that certain historical facts have been altered or lost in the dramatization, we do learn something about Kurita ancestory." (my bold)

A4 size blurb including references to Kincaid and Halsley follows.

So Admiral Takeo Kurita was an ancestor of the Kurita family and was an Admiral in WW2, notwithstanding the dramatization of his actions portrayed.
