Note: I did see similar topics but none directly about the design review notice we got on april the 11th 2014.

To me it did not seem long since the launch party but it has been seven months. Still no sign of community warfare when we were told it would be in the next six months (also according to PC Gamer). Yes we got the achievements and UI2 but no community warfare in any of its phases. I was not worried before, now I am starting to get skeptical. Especially when Paul Inouye is saying that community warfare is going through the final phase of design review. Is that not what should have happened (and probably did) before the presentation at the launch event.

Now do you understand so many vets' skepticism and refusal to buy any more packs or MC?

yes it all comes clear now. And the funny thing is when they promised community warfare with everything else at the beginning it was the one feature that I thought "Great, but I highly doubt it".

What annoys me is that they plan to do a very complicated CW rather than something simple with territory control but with no benefits to holding a planet. And if they do ever release it, it will probably so in-depth that the next group to get the Mechwarrior license won't be able to match it or build on it, and they might choose a completely different direction for Mechwarrior, which would be sad.

This implementation of cw is not nearly as complicated as originally intended, and I am not too happy about that. I feel you last post is unfounded in that regard. Its pretty simple, you drop against other groups from a faction, and the front moves after X victories have been met. And why this is taking as long as it is surprises me.

Ah, you must be new here. Whenever PGI gives a timeframe for something to be done, you add 18 months. It's kinda like Dog years.

Was I the only person who played the tourney were it was grouped by faction. You know. The one won by House Steiner. Was it a huge step toward CW? Maybe not. Was it a sign of CW. Absolutely. So I'd say no sign of CW means the OP either started after that or is not willing to give credit where credit is due.

I'm blown away by the fact that PGI admits that community warfare is still in the design phase. Its been 2 years since the founders program? What do we have, a few more mechs, a couple more maps and broken UI 2.0... What has PGI been doing with their time, and more important with the money WE invested? Why is community warfare not priority #1 at this point?

Yep. Full me once, full me twice, full me lots of times, but after a time, you realize you're being conned.

I've spent @ $300.00 on this game. That's enough for 5-6 AAA games with much mroe content and depth, so I'm giving the developers time to finish what they sold all this content to me with the understanding that it would be out "soon."

I'll spend mroe money on the game once they make it a better game. I don't need any more mechs, I need a real game.

Hey! But we do have achievements!! Something that any programmer probably could have done on a single day! Oh! And more hero mechs!

I'm a little surprised they didn't release twin hero Ravens.

That was done 20 years ago and these guys can't do it in 2014?

FTFY

For all we know, this design review was included in the last prediction (complete by mid-fall). They did hit their Phase 1 target, after all, albeit behind by one patch.

I would like to see a progress update, though.
