Why have private matches? Can't you team up and enter a pubic match?

I don't know anyone that plays MW:O and dont' care to for private matches, I just wanna play and am unable to after this patch.

Patch seems broken to masses of players..
No lame excuses, diatribe, or white knighting is going to change the reality of the situation.

First match I dropped into had 4 no shows and a disco before match started. 10 minutes later my TeamSpeak server is flooded with people asking questions, confirming issues, and forming opinions. The they logged out of MWO and left TS after a light discussion.

FYI, they ALL had the same opinion, and I see dozens saying the same thing now, i'm waiting for hundreds of posts on this to be on the forums in the next 3 hours. Nice try.

One of those days where I'm glad I am at work on patch days.

It's funny how different patch days are now, we used to basically cancel all plans when Everquest patched, knowing there could potentially be issues.

Well seeing how private matches have been one often requested feature on this very forums... I guess the answer would be... Because peopel ask for them.

Now the MM not working is a entierly different matter not really related to the former. Still very annoying, not only because some poeple can not play but that it will be deactivated and my nice evening of playing my old Founder Jenner will go down the drain as soon as it is assault city again.

Because you aren't limited to one account. You could use a second account where you don't care about any of your personal stats.

So.... it was fixed in like 10 minutes. Rolled back. Restart if you're having issues. MM is fine now, just 3/3/3/3 is out.

10 minutes. After a large patch with sweeping MM changes it had a bug, no big surprise, and was literally reverted less than 10 minutes after it came up.

Really? I mean.... really? You can't handle 10 minutes? Not sure there is anything that can help you with that.

So why is it that every small patch changes the players battlefield experience negatively. Then every big patch makes the entire game experience more and more unpleasurable. You guys up at PGI HQ do realize that to make this game successful you need to do three basic things. One: Create a MW/BT environment (minimal points on this one). Two: Entice players to that environment (minimal again). And last but not least make it FUN (Not less fun each patch). Oh and if you are wondering. You have not done any of those three all that very well.

Terrible !!!!

I want to choose to play Skirmish, not conquest or assault.
Please bring back the option to choose.

Ok, but that shrinks the player base for new players or those who just like to play without making arrangements.

Why would you ever want to do that?

Also, I don't appreciate a premade group of 4 Spiders strafing my Misery for half the match so the weight class balancing might be a good thing.

Post count means nothing and does not invalidate, or validate, someones comments. They could simply have spent more time playing than posting, or not had anything to say until now.

Now it they are talking total gumpf then feel free to rip them apart on it.
Just not the post count, as all it is is a very blunt measure of one element of game participation.

Back it up CHIEF...
Was in TeamSpeak discussion these issues with friends that ALL encountered the same thing for 15 - 20 minutes.

You've got a good thing, I would think that, small incremental changes, presumably for the better would be well advised.

Well, I might as well throw my 2 cents in here....

First match was a 1 vs 6... me being the 1. Was amusing and everyone took it lightly.
Match after that was the reversal of the weight rules...

I do hope they manage to sort things out, rather than abandoning it as a failed idea. The weighting and private match concepts got me excited. I think the weight balance would do a lot more in the long run, especially if ELO balances out too. Sometimes you are just outweighed. The private match part is exciting for me simply because now I can get together with as little as 3 other friends for 2v2 action to test out builds with actual moving targets.

Since my ping tends to be on the higher side I also saw some weird things in my first match.... I was standing face to face with one of the DC enemies and my AC20 still missed.... wasn't server side hit registration supposed to improve this?

Anywho... hope the bugs get sorted out. I still enjoy MWO and would love to see it improve and shake its bad rep

Well the private matches are a important tool for people running custom leagues and competative playing as it let them set up and run their matches without getting in the way of regular players (before this was done by sync-dropping, both teams pressing launch at the same time and hope that they ended up in the same match. This was not a very efficent way of doing it) It is also a good way for player run units to be able to practise without a lot of interference and above mentioned sync-dropping

3/3/3/3 is not a ideal solution for PUG´s but for now it is a better solution then we had before on the paper.

Ran a few private matches. Worked great. Will wait on public for a bit I guess but not sure I would want to go back the 12 man blob of boredom, public 8 mans again would be cool though.
