The impact would be not so much on the players but it would undermine confidence in the economy and impact the number of servers being created for farmers. The most efficient server instance is 12v12. Having less players means alot more server instances to spin up. Add to that the number of players who use alts or friends to farm and you have alot of servers running with less than 24 that are not even premium users.

having just played a match where there were 4 assaults in one team and 6 assaults in the other when its supposed to be 3/3/3/3 can I assume that either.

A this isn't switched on yet ?

or

B its a screw up that's not working properly ?

3/3/3/3 was turned off due to it being borked, expected to be fixed "later this week" , But yeah nothings guaranteed.

They turned off matchmaking.

They turned it off due to "issues."

another thing, the lobby where you press ready and wait for the battle to begin appears to have disappeared, this another bug or intended?

I don't know if anyone else has brought this up yet but will those of us with premium time be reimbursed for the extra time we will now be waiting in queue becuase of your new rule of 3's?
It seems only fair since you are the ones that have now increased the wait time to get into a match.

Should just give players a filter for what they want their game to be like (eg I want 3 each weight category, or I want all assaults, or I want with multiple 4 player groups, etc)

Just a filter with 12 mechs no limits the default.

This is what has always made me question you PGI, why should I have to modify things OUTSIDE OF THE GAME to play without issue? why is this not in the Options menu IN-game?

The bright side...
  • At least it is not a patch of all weapons "balancing" and "fixes."
  • It was a short download.
The bad side...
  • It was a short download so that means little to no content added.
  • Early reports from friends are not favorable for the patch.
The most underwhelmed I have felt in a while. At least Nikolai is checking the forums and responding quickly. Good customer service. Employee of the year candidate. :lol:

Well I did try to play against my better judgement , same old balance without 3/3/3/3 made worse by the fact I cant chose modes ill be back when u fix 3/3/3/3 and return the mode option , When both are implemented in working order i'll log back in to the game.

and yet they screw something up again. Now am forced to play ,modes that I personally detest.
once again forcing people to play in stupid ass cap games.
bring back where you can choose the mode you want to play in at least.
