Crimson Langur is a solid medium mech, though I have heard many call it 'bulky'.

Fast on its feet and very capable of being outfitted for hit-and-run attacks it can be a fun brawler.

Introduced 3065

Description

Following the losses of Clan Blood Spirit during its interference in the Absorption Refusal between Clan Burrock and Clan Star Adder, Khan Kariana Schmitt ordered the development of a new, advanced OmniMech. In order to defray the costs of designing a new 'Mech from the ground up, the Spirits worked with Kindraa Mick-Kreese of Clan Fire Mandrill. They designed this 'Mech together and, in order to cement the bond that the process had created, named it the Crimson Langur. Since its debut in 3065, the Crimson Langur has appeared with the Blood Spirits and their Fire Mandrill allies, but also with Clan Goliath Scorpion and Clan Cloud Cobra. Whether the presence of the Crimson Langur among these other Clans is an indication of improving relations or isorla taken from the battlefield is unclear.

I absolutely fell in love with the Storm Crow the first time I piloted one. Its weapons load is a very fun combination to me.

Anyone else here a fan of Clanner medium mechs?

Personally I love the Smoke Jaguar's Storm Crow, by far my favorite mech. If I had to pick another, Jade Falcon's Black Lanner is also pretty effective and much faster. I always find a way to equip these with jump jets, and usually remove all weapons and most armor from the arms and put everything into the torso, but it seems that this game's hardpoint system won't allow me to do that, though I suppose that's fair for balance and realism.

Anyone else a fan of these two mechs? 55 tons is my area, but seems like no one else is really a fan. I also sometimes stray to the 60 ton Mad Dog or down to the 50 ton Nova, but anything I'd use the Nova for I'd rather have the Storm Crow.

I hope that when clan mechs are introduced, they carry their proper names. Though it would be cool if say, you were piloting a clan mech and targeting a captured Timberwolf it'd show "Timber Wolf," but if you were piloting an IS mech and targeting the same mech, it'd show up as "Mad Cat" on the HUD. That'd be a cool little detail.

The Stormcrow was a Hell's Horses design...and I share your affinity for it.

Stormcrow is really pretty much the optimal medium workhorse. Hard to find a better build than any of it's main configs for it's class.

I'm partial to the Nova though.

My favourite mech of all-time is the Shadow Cat.

I don't know why, but I always managed to pull of some exceptional kill streaks in that thing during MW4 days. It was just such a versatile mech; you could drop the speed right down and pack a hell of a lot of weapons on there, or strip back the weapons and become a major pain in the *** scout.

It'll always hold a special something for me I think.

Very true, Hells Horses is probably my other favorite clan. I really liked Smoke Jaguar but they're pretty much douchebags. I love the Hells Horses combination of conventional warfare along with mechs, and philosophy about the warrior rather than the particular machine. Makes sense to me, a great pilot in a Storm Crow can beat a normal pilot in a Dire Wolf any day.

Username.

Such a handy 'mech in so many situations. As the MW2 guidebook says, "when in doubt...STORM."

Nova and Shadow Cat for me, though I'm one of those pilots who just loves to just strap himself in a Puma(Adder) and take down an Masakari.

I'm not usually a big fan of Clan mechs my self, however, I do like the Huntsman and Mad Cat MK III.

I'm going to have to agree that the little targeting computer detail you mentioned is in fact, a fantastic idea. I would love to see that implemented

Yeah, going to have to be the Stormcrow. It's just the best medium mech ever. :)
Nova comes in handy when you need something that jumps though, even if it usually runs very hot and is most notable for cheeseball designs (variant S, I'm looking at you).
