EDIT: Oh yeah, FIRST!
EDIT: Look, I'm not saying these are so good I'd buy a gold pack. I'm saying the Mechs and the skin look good and that the people who design this game do an incredible job (less so the management but they're not bad).

It's their money to spend, but I just don't get the point. It will get you shot at more in-game, and probably a fair amount of TKs just because. Just seems ridiculous.
It's your money if you want to spend it though.

It's not an either/or option. It's relatively trivial to do both.

really not THAT bad, better than Star Citizen.
No, Star Citizen's a rip-off also.I think I've had my fill of FTP games. I'm willing to spend 50-60 dollars on a game, and more for DLC, but I'm just feel like I didn't get my money's worth on MWO.
Paying that kind of money (43 million in Star Citizen's case) for a game that's not even in Alpha stage is more based on hope than any educated purchase. I spent @ $300.00 on MWO based on hope, because I'm a long time battletech and mechwarrior fan, but I don't feel like MWO is going to be the game I want.
Again, if somebody else enjoy;s it enough to spend that kind of money on this game more power to them, I wish I could feel the same about this, but for ME, there's just no "there" there any longer. I'll occasionally drop in, buy a new mech now and then with CB's, but this game is pretty much a disappointment for me. I gave it a long time to succeed, I spent more on it than I've spent on any other game ever. Just stuff like this gold skin stuff seems so greedy and non interesting to me that it turns me off the game even more.

Umm, sure yes
However
You get the same bonuses and content with the 240$ pack, there's nothing more except the gold skin
Also premium is tied to when you bought, the sooner the more, even on the smallest pack
Last thing, while I agree that SC is realy expensive on the higher end tiers of packages, there needs to be 2 things noted
One:
Some are actually sold out, so demand seemed high enough (well yes it's a few lines of code, so there's no real shortage)
Second:
Star citizen has still to disappoint, MWO already did quite some times already, soooo
I was approached by someone at work what I think of SC, and we talked and now I'm in they're group
Although learning from MWO has taught me not to over invest in an unfinished game realy, especially early
And they never even heard of MWO, gets you thinking
Everyone seems to know what SC is, even 45 year old work colleagues
Ask someone about MWO, and if they know it, what the first thing that comes to mind is
haven't heard something positive since shortly after open Beta
Hope PGI gets they're stuff together sooner than later, endless rounds of team death match and mech collectors packages are not going to win them anything anymore
