I missed the Founders package by a few months, but I have bought quite a bit since then and only regret one purchase - the Firebrand - but that is only because you can't hide the satanic symbols on it. I get my butt kicked in the game all the time, but it's not from PGI.

so this appears to be gold versions of both the regular variant and the invasion pre-order variant geometry. note the two different pelvis designs. Which one do players receive if they buy the preorder?

It looks like an unlocked camo pattern for both. At least, that is the simplest solution to the conundrum. As I said, it increases the value of the Gold mech pack..... But at the end of the day you still have a ridiculous looking gold mech.

These things will Glow Gold on HPG and it can be VERY blinding
the reason how i know this is because of the protectors shined metal and the apple jack bare metal skin.

Basically what they need to do is simply change the gold material base colour to a lighter yellow rather than dark orange brass and increase specularity and shininess levels. This will make the surface catch more light and generally look more gold-like

That RT/LT is going to be SO easy to shoot off...

Of course if they make the arms either side the 'grey areas where they connect, disarming this mech will be a piece of cake... ...the weapons are in the arms, so whatever they do with the hit boxes....

Not from the sides, though. The amount of protection the arms provide the mech is staggering, covering the sides and the CT pretty well, and would be fantastic if the bulk of the firepower was not there. First thing I am doing is slotting in the Left Torso/Right Torso weapon omnipods. o_0

But that is how it should be. You don't buy a $260 mech to blend in, you buy it to stand out like a beacon of awesomeness at 2000+ meters! Trust me, if the Gold mechs looked like that screenshot, they would sell considerably more. (If they were only $55, though, they would sell like hot cakes...)

The gold mech is actually advertised as a Camo pattern, so it's probably something you can apply to any of your mechs of the type you bought. Which is great, because if you have a gold Timberwolf, running around in another non-gold version sort of defeats the purpose.

Hovering the cursor on the gold mechs on the Clans page on the site says "Get 1 Gold Khan Collection 'Mech - Equipped with an Exclusive Skin."

To me, this seems to imply that by paying that 260 dollars extra, you will get an actual additional mech that has the gold skin applied, not a gold skin you can use on other mechs of that specific chassis. But English isn't my 1st language, so I may be reading it wrong?

Yeah, I assumed so at first, too, but look at the screenshot of the Adder. Both the Invasion and Standard geometry models have the gold.

you are reading it right. It is an EXTRA mech that has the Gold Skin on it (like a Hero Mech). So you get the Masakari Package AND an extra Gold Mech (for me its the Daishi).
