The Golden Boy was the first Hero that I can remember that was a flop. Since then, the Huggin (hate the name) hasn't been seen a whole lot either. It'll be interesting to see how this QKD fares.

And you're reading into that all wrong, Cattra. The only thing that makes me upset about all of this is that it is coming from the NGNG site. And that has nothing to do with the site, per se, but rather that it came from only there. Let's play hypothetical here, if PGI put a "Create Your Hero" competition on this board and on NGNG and Strum gets the winning design, people might still not like the design but nobody is complaining. My issue is that there was NO communication from the company to the community on their own community board. Are you understanding that? They bypassed their own creation to come to a secondary site that just so happens to host the pod cast. The one thing that grinds on me so much is that they can't get their collective sh!t together on getting the word out to where it needs to be here. For the record, THAT IS HERE!

exactly, why not have the competition on the primary site which garners 100 times the traffic? why only cater to a "fan" site?

I hate to say it, but this really rustles My jimmies that there was a contest / poll / outreach to the fans to put out ideas for hero mechs on another site. I NEVER EVEN KNEW THIS WAS GOING ON.
Here We are, on the official website for the game, and not a freaking word. But Twitter, FB, god knows how many other social networking sites, and freaking NGNG, a fan site get more info.

I would have loved to pitch ideas for a hero treb and qd. But since I wouldn't touch a social network site to save My life (Due to them being awful), and I didn't even know NGNG had a website, and instead come to the official website for the game, I miss out.

PGI, please pull your heads out of your poopers. The smell's effecting your judgment.

i think we all wanted a quickdraw with 2 ballistics in the arms but i don't know if i want it to be hero ONLY when a chassis gets a weapon class that none of the others have
like giving the awesome a ballistic hardpoint hero

but sadly i don't think their going to be releasing new variants for the quickdraw , considering that a new c-bill version would possibly lower the sales of the ballistic only hero

Sadly you cant fit the SRMs together with the Dual-LBX in there.

My perfect dream mech would be a Dual-LBX + Quad-SRM6 mech....but men can hope

In short, I don't see a reason for it if I have an SHD, but it wont' be a bad mech if you're into quickdraws.

Your still clipping along at 83 kph, which is pretty crappy, honestly. But, it gives you what you'll need You can also go with double UACs and double Streaks w/ BAP, 2x Md Lasers w/ 2x SRM2s, or 2x MPLs w/ AMS.

I know I can fit dual-lbx in there, I just wish a mech where I can put 2 LBX and A LOT srms in there too, like 4 SRM6 or something It would be my SPLAT mech, I would call it Hyper-**** or ****-All-Over-You

Honestly throwing a couple AC 10s on those quick articulated arms does sound fun...

You could do it with an XL 270, 1 JJ, 2 MLs, and 6 tons of ammo.

I got one last night and was running it fairly stick all night, swapped ferro for endo and upped the armour, I was getting some really good damage 500+ and getting good kills! I have to say I really enjoy this mech and for me it really has a lot of potential!
