It was just a reference to his narky little comment when he merged the threads- "Please remember to keep your discussions of other games confined to one thread and for constructive comparative purposes only." I didn't think someone would take it seriously because I forgot what this forum is like.

If it's in off topic there's no need to confine discussions to 'comparative purposes only' is there? If you're comparing the two games the thread could stay in general disc- oh, wait there's no general discussion any more.

If you think about it, it would actually be very odd behaviour to follow the game for so long and then walk away without a backward glance to see how things are progressing. Losing faith in the devs doesn't mean that I have no interest in what happens to the only current mechwarrior game- I just don't play any more.

If a miracle happens and PGI turn things around I want to know about it, and likewise when they make more ridiculous mistakes like this http://mwomercs.com/...new-google-ads/ I want to see what's going on because it's funny (if a bit sad at the same time).

I would guess that the overwhelming majority of people who quit playing a game never make a "I quit" post.

Just people looking for attention.

This would be true, if it wasn't eerily similar to breaking up with someone, then driving by their house to see what they're up to.

Nope, the metaphor fits perfectly.

In other news, looking at that thread today, you got to see all the real dramaqueens come out of the woodwork. I wonder if that's on a 28 day cycle.

I think I might start lurking the SC forums. Not just because it looks like a great game but to follow all of its supporters from here. It'll be interesting to see if they turn on the developers if things go wrong or if they become the same as the MWO 'white knights' they currently look down on.
