I see ECMs on Raven 2x and 4x and they are not suppose to do so? I'm not mistaken or misreading, I wish I had a screenshot. I had an entire Raven squad with me and another 4x (ECM), a 3L (ECM), and a 2X (another ECM). No, I am not mistaken as both the scoreboared showed their mechs as 4-2x AND I saw the 4X personal with a ECM eye symbol above his head.

If possible is this something paid, a bug, or something?

eye above his head merely means he was within the 180m ECM range of a friendly mech and fell under their umbrella.

I thought so too, but he also has the ECM wording as well. I double checked to make sure that it wasn't just me being silly, but it was a serious 4X with ECM.

As Lukoi said. The "umbrella" supports allies within a certain range.

You can make a lot of players invisible as an ECM mech if you stay huddled together.

Screenshot it next time if you can. You may have mixed up your 3L and 4X mechs (easy to do especially since they almost look the same).

I'll try bro, I didn't understood the ECM system fully until I heard that only the 3L Raven could have it. I followed him and he had a RAVEN 4X next to his name. I'll be sure to keep an eye out and thanks for the helpful tip. <3

Thanks for the response, I have a side question. What LRM spammer is the best? I was thinking the Catapult might be a good choice?

Catapults are the usual choice for heavies (I think?) though Orion are also strong and Jagermech have a good one as well

Stalkers and one of the Awesome for Assaults.

Kintaro or Griffin for Mediums

I'm needing one that can put the most firepower right on an enemy. I know some about the Catapults and the different kinds of them. I know the A1 just puke missles out, but the lack of energy points will not let you use a laser which can be an issue if they're cloaked with ECM. I know another is similar, but with 2 energy points, but you won't be able to stack large amount of missles as you have to still use an energy weapon/tag which while isn't bad is the point of the Catapults - long range pwnage. :(

You can do something similar in a Catapult - but I like my Battlemaster (Note: very much not my precise build)

That's pretty cool, but I got a fever and the only cure is moar firepower. I play a Raven 4X Skirmisher (which is really good even if everyone complains about how bad the 4X are)

People tend to look at the 4X and see only the lower speeds and lack of ECM. :(
(it does have rather vulnerable legs though)

The legs can be fixed with extra armor (I got 20 on each) and of course all light legs are the weakspots. While it doesn't have much speed it has several advantages which is key for a skirmisher. First, I don't put an XL engine onto it, so I instead have a faster engine that gives me 90.2 speed. Faster than most heavier mechs, the Raven 4X also have good armor for a light. One time I was able to serious loss (it was a gangbang and my entire team wiped) my arms, legs, both sides, and only took a shot to the back to kill me. The ability to take losses when suddenly being engaged at close range allowed me to flee or do enough damage for my team mate to kill and became the bait.

Chicken my Raven 4x is capable and VERY good at doing two things. It can be a minor tagger-sniper with LRM (5) tagging for teammates and me, hitting with missles to waste their AMS ammo on mine or get hit while hitting with the long range laser. Currrently my set up is strictly sniping as I got two long range lasers which I set to fire one after another, I can get the rate to go up to 98% just a tick before. I also got two MGs which is awesome to use as they tears into the armor. At medium range (I got both long range laser and MG perks range upgraded). Hitting with MG and the laser while allow me to tear into the armor and often enough I would crit with the MGs/laser combo. :(

Throw it together on Smurfy and it makes it easier to describe.

As for the legs being weak - it is a hitbox issue, not an armor one (IE the legs on a Raven - any Raven - are easier to hit than most light mechs)

Hey now! You have almost a full ton free!

one point of armor off anywhere and you get an extra ton to play with (or you could up the armor on places like your legs :()

Can't. :( Which is why I got it, it's off a little, I do 20 damage instead of that, I dunno why. :/

I have the feeling you have an MG or two in there.

If it where mine, I'd seriously consider doing this. Just one ton MG ammo off, two tons is more than adequate for a pair of MG's.

The rest of the changes result in another DHS, maxing out the armor, swapping the LL's for ERLL's, adding 3 Jump Jets and increasing the speed 20kph.

Some cost, though, with the 225XL engine.

All of these have already been listed but I'll throw some weight behind those suggestions.

Heavies; Catapults, Jager, and Orions. I dislike Cats and favour Jagers (2 x LRM 10, 2 x LRM 5).

Assaults: Stalker, Battlemaster, Awesome. I favour the BM as it's got quite a steep launch angle for LRMs (4 x LRM 10).

There's other mechs out there that can function as LRM boats but these are probably the ones that suit what you're looking for best.
