I take it you have some issue with the "famous" bit? :)

They didn't seem that famous in BT.

But then again, the quotes were actually for Bryan Ekman's words: Once you get a high standing with every faction (<-paraphrased) "You can then join a certain famous mercenary group....Wolf's Dragoons!"
Or was it infamous?

Anyway in the speech he made it sound pretty big. It might be. But then I looked at the uniforms and thought star wars, then some of the lore and it's like... "These guys got mentioned twice in the books I read so far.. Even Kell Hounds got mentioned more than 20 times."

They were pretty central to several storylines - but outside of Stackpole, I don't think anyone wrote much about them

Haven't read them all just yet. Anyway, back on topic. My Commando isn't fairing too well in the field. :)
Gonna probably pick up some people to play with to hopefully lower my ELO standing or switch to another mech to run for a while.

What's the TS address for the Zhizu server? I lost it when I had to resurrect my laptop.

Didn't realize it was an actual item (or if I had known, I forgot) :)

It used to be a "banner" item that was mounted outside of view in the cockpit. It is now a standing item of a banner hung on a small stand (like all the faction banners). Blue and gold with an Atlas and "Community Contributor" on t.

Seriously new people...use these forums...post questions...meet people....

I've met many helpful, friendly people on here that ate more than willing to team up in game...and have been recognized by people in game that later teamed up with me because they've read my posts...

These forums are the key to playing MW:O

Definitely do what bullet's done, be proactive making friends, creating lances, and inviting people in. It's a nice change of pace for vets to play with new people too. I've enjoyed our drops bullet "we need more firepower" sponge0.

two issues with that...

1. I'm bad enoug hin custom built mechs...a stock mech would be suicide

Truth be told, stock mechs are generally easier in a stock environment. They tend to go for high firepower, high armor, high speed, or some combination that isn't quite so high, or a jack of all trades ('middle ground' in everything).

There, Awesomes, Thunderbolts and Dragons are like kings.
This is because in terms of armor, the Thunderbolts and Dragons surpass most Cataphracts and almost rival the most armored Stalkers (by just one half a ton of armor short). And Awesomes sweep the floor with them with armor getting very close to Highlanders. Meanwhile, the most armored canon Victor (Dragon Slayer does not count) is barely on par with middle-ground Cataphracts and wimpier than Orions.

The way MWO is built, armor has lost its meaning as everyone plays max armor. It's a shame it doesn't have limited per mech variant values.

people can at least put a ghost or an alt or a mirror, or whatever teamspeak term you use....in the strana mechty teamspeak server, that way, if on some off chance, people start filtering in there and filling the place up, there might be...gasp! people playing stock mech matches pretty much all the time!

I did. Basically he means sit idly on the stock mech teamspeak and if it fills up, jump in and play stock mech matches any time.
