I would say there are new things. The Community is getting toxic.

It seems no matter what role I drop in as there is always some toxic comment. Usually from one of the 2 premade lances on either side. The "elitism" is getting over the top. Yes you are elite in your stompy robot game. Yes it is difficult to beat up on a bunch of people playing solo. Yes you don't like my builds.. so kill them and shut up. Sorry if I am not walking around in CTF-3D, HGH-733C, or RVR-3L all the time.

Here is the thing boys. I only usually have time to play solo a few drops. A lot of people are like this. You can hate casuals all you like but the problem is this: The game won't survive without them. So keep being toxic and in 6 months when there are a hundred of you on Comstar discussing where the game went you will know why.

*shrug* I'm a solo player and I would say I am a casual player, but I have not once in all the time I have played had a toxic comment directed at me for my build or choice of mech. Perhaps if you "always" see a toxic comment directed at you no matter what you drop in there is some other reason for it? Perhaps that other reason is you acting in a toxic manner, but I'm sure you wouldn't leave that out of your little rant?

Don't care if people have a problem with ECMs.. way too many counters. Yes I snipe and move.. that seems to be an issue even on these painfully small maps. Do I play a bit trolly with the Ember and the Cicada.. yes. But guess what if you are fighting 2 lance premades they can be big boys and take it. Do you expect me to trust the guy next to me as a solo player? No so I play like a solo.

meh, builds never really honk me off, play how you have fun. I don't always get why someone chose a particular build but it's you mech, put on cupcake cannons if you like.

I will have to respond later about the builds since I am at work and for some strange reason smurfy is blocked by our firewall for being under the category of "weapons", and I can't be bothered to change it. However, just because you don't trust your fellow players doesn't mean you shouldn't try to work with them instead of trying to reenact Rambo First Blood.
