Its also a gold chrome wrap. Doesn't work the same sadly or I would wrap then entire engine in my dodge with it ;) . But McLaren isn't the only group to use real GOLD in the engine compartment. All of the Formula 1 teams use it, and a large number of racing teams in endurance racing especially use it.

The gold clan mechs must use the same wrap because they are roughly the same pale gold color in some of the lighting they use.

unfortunately the Gold 'Mechs are a bit too bright and look more like highly polished brass.

Um...... where have you been? http://mwomercs.com/...rhawk-revealed/

Love it. Best looking gold mech so far. If only you could go back and redo the legs of the Timber Wolf....*hint, hint*

For those complaining about the green "reflection" (personally I like it):

"Gold is so malleable that it can be beaten into gold leaf less than 100 nm thick, revealing a bluish-green color when light is transmitted through it. Gold reflects yellow and red, but not blue or blue-green. The direct transmission of light through a metal in the absence of reflection is observed only in rare instances." - http://www.webexhibi...sofcolor/9.html

You came here late it seems. I'm well aware there is gold warhawk images dude. What makes you think my post was about that?

When this topic was first made the typo said gold warhawk and not gold summoner. PRetty sure the photos in this topic here are that of a summoner and not a warhawk, so I pointed it out for them to fix, and they have since done so.

I think you read my topic wrong or you're just trolling and very bad at it. Hopefully the first one, since I'd like to see the good in people more than the bad.

This is not the first time PGI made a typo like that in one of their News topics, so I was doing them a fravor and making them aware of their error.

Cheers, Dangerzone

Actually, as I pointed out before, the green "reflection", which is actually transmission, indicates it's likely gold leaf. It's not the colour of gold that determines if it's gold or a wrap. That being said, you can polish gold to look like that wrap.

When I got to the post, a few minutes after you posted, it said Summoner and nowhere said Warhawk. I thought you were expecting the Gold Warhawk, not the Summoner, and didn't notice it was up, hence the link. Was only trying to be helpful, you can stand down.

Inner Sphere gold mechs :D . I was the Atlas RS.

Its also not as yellow as everyone thinks it is. Here is the engine compartment of a McLaren F1. Yes, they where lined in gold to radiate the heat away.

They also comes with a wrench set that's gold plated too.

You can make it as pretty as you want

You can make it as limited as you want

It's still an insult to the community that you would charge as much as you do for nothing more then a paint job

I am a part of the community and I am not offended.

I love PGI but not that much. I pay PGI but not that much. Some people do, and the dev gives them an option. I'm fine with that.

It's not like you're gonna ever pay for it.

See? This is the life of F2P game devs! You release paid gameplay items, people b*tch about it (legitimately tho). You release paid non-gameplay items, people still b*tch about it.

More like poor people whine tho.

***

I like how its right arm is basically stripped right from a TimberWolf. Modular Clan Tech FTW *not sarcasm*. Also the leg model is freaking gorgeous.

I would like for you to tell me why this is the case. All this is for people who have the funds to buy something unique. I would like for you to tell me how a gold paint job costing money is a slap in the face when other than the little extras they offer, how a Summoner Prime with normal paint is worse.

I do like the Sommoner's look. Never gonna spend $500.00 on a skin for a game however.

I could see metallic skins(copper, silver, gold, etc) being premium colors for the game and going for maybe $10-$20 bucks, but $500 is flat out ridiculous.

Yeah, Its simply too much for a skin. Can see a 10-20 tag reasonable.

You are not paying for just the color, but also the exclusivity, the Warhawk pack, and extra stuff. Just pointing that out.

TBH if I won the powerball/megamillions, I'd buy this for you guys. If I was making 6 figures a year, I would buy this, but I don't so I didn't.

Still, 260 dollars ADDITIONAL for a skin (oh some premium time also but I simply don't value a few extra cockpit items or titals. Theyr'e not even meta except POSSIBLY the ""unique" module.

Just not seeing a value there.

If I win the powerball/megamillions, I'll be on an island with a few "supermodels" (ie AAA hookers) for a month or so, then I'll be moving to a nicer house.

After that, I'll be too busy laughing and playing in piles of money to help anyone like that.

You're a better man than I.

I wish PGI would stop showing off 'Mechs no one is going to buy. Unless, of course, they're three things: Desperate, Stupid, or just plain insane to the point where even Dr. Freud would declare them psychotic beyond all reason. Cause there's no way I'm shelling out $500 for something that I'll probably never use.

So PGI, PLEASE STOP SHOWING THESE OFF. Thank you.

You freaking crybabies! Don't buy the mech if you think it is too much! There is no advantage other than the Epeen of having a rare paint job. If someone has the money, or wants to spend the money, or goes into debt to by a $500 gold mech pack (which comes with the $240 Warhawk pack by the way), it is their damned business. Go get a job, so you can afford it, or get drunk enough that you charge up your credit card to get it!
