Then I looked at the clan mechs. Better weapons but fewer hardpoints. Mostly arm mounted weapons, nothing really suitable to make a pop tart sniper. Made me happy. Bought a clan pack.

Seems like the less pathetic course would be to actually find a game you DO enjoy, and like...play it? instead.
Yes, you should never voice your opinion. Just sit in the corner and take it or run away. Are you serious? This should be a great game, it's not. I will voice my opinion. Don't like it? You can leave. People have spent their hard earned money on this game. When the developers run in ******** circles for a year+, they should be called out. Don't like it? You can leave.

But so many of us have invested heavy in IS up to point were we have 53 mechs already.
So adding the full clan pack were just not going to use it.
Plus if you look at the release schedule posted all you have to do is wait 90 days after the release, and you can get the kit fox for c-bills.
So at this point. I might as well wait, and just pick and chose buying mechbays for 300 mc.
Movember 2014
- Week 2
- Timber Wolf available for
- Week 4
- Warhawk available for

Being an LRM god is pretty easy.
Easy builds often lead to wins.
Whether we admit it or not, winning is fun enough we're often willing to dump on someone else to do it. Esp people we don't know on the internet.
You don't need a clan mech to win and 'have fun.'

We don't hate the game
We're frustrated with PGI
If you hunt through my posts you'll be hard pressed to find anything but criticism
That being said, I bought a Clan pack on the slim chance that PGI turns this boat around and gets serious.
When I spend money on this game I'm not doing it for PGI, I'm doing it for Mechwarrior to show that this brand still has a load of potential even if it's being squandered by this company.
If this was any other brand I would have been long gone.
Yeah, it sucks PGI gets to keep the profit, but if somehow this game pulls out of the dirt I'll be happy I spent the money I did
I'm already feeling buyers remorse, but hey, I can pay my rent while keeping food and beer in the fridge and still have enough left over to make bad digital purchases
I'm hoping it's worth it eventually.
So
If you think we hate this game, you're more clueless than Russ was when he said everybody wanted 3PV.

I just had the same thought today... where are all these 3PV-fanboys now?
I guess I didn't see even one player using 3PV in the last 2 months... but hey, PGI wanted to tell us, that nearly everybody wants to have 3PV!!!
Many totally wrong decisions, that's what is so frustrating about MWO.

As opposed to the likely 3000+ matches / 500+ hours of play to get 3 of each...
In others, it's a lot of money for digital content that might vanish at any time, being it's an online-only, server based game, rather than something you have yourself on a disc.

You know, people here don't hate this game. It's the opposite: they care. we care.
If I would hate this game, Iwouldn't spend time here.
Wouldn't write guides and try to organize games. Wouldn't play.
But I do. And all those "haters" do. They don't hate. they want this to succeed.
It's passion, not hate.

I don't hate the game - I'm frustrated with design decisions it's made and I have lost faith that it's going to end up where it has so much potential to end up. I don't spend money on the game because the last time I did I did not feel like I got what I wanted out of that expenditure. This is unfortunate because I really want to spend money on the game. I just dropped about $200 on PDF gaming books for a game that I'll probably never play but at least will enjoy reading through and recycling content for use in another game. I'd rather have spent it on MW:O.
However, I have no faith that the clan mechs won't be a total catastrophe for balancing and deployment. I think everyone who spent hundreds of dollars is going to be outraged and disappointed. I'm betting without question the Timber Wolf and Dire Wolf will end up being crap for their tonnage and the next Dragon/Awesome combo for the clans - because that's the history that PGI has put forward for content.
If you're happy with where the game has been, the design decisions and feel like you'll be happy you spent that money and that what you'll get is worth it though, do it. My opinion is just that - mine. The market impact of such things works out in the aggregate, not at an individual level. One guy being dissatisfied isn't that big a deal. When it's a big segment of the market, a business needs to change or pay the price. I don't agree with people trying to push the impact of their own opinions as bigger than they are, good or bad.
Share your opinions, good or ill. You can even try to sell your opinions to other people. In the end though they're just opinions.
