Could be optimized more but the player could do some of the work for now.

You don't even realize how totally absurd you sound here, do you?

UI 2.0 is in pretty bad shape at the moment. Its probably worse, and more frustraiting for those of us who are in the field than for the average user, because we know how bad it is and how it could be so much better.

Superfluous popups and clicks, inappropriate feed back, page flow not matching task flow, controls for sequential tasks too far from one another, unintuitive locations for controls, icons that suggests an action but do not trigger that action, unnecessarily restricting the user from actions that should be able to be performed from more locations than they are...

Uh way to spin my words. It's gonna be optimized so FOR NOW players could do some of the work. Like you know remembering where your equipment is.

Not really. Playing the opposite side of a toxic community has it's perks. Keep circle jerking in the negativity though.

actually, these forums have been pretty toxic almost the entire 2 years I've been here.

I've been here playing since late closed beta...and I've always seen more toxic than anything. Yes, even in the closed beta discussions. On a side note, can we please come back to civility?

Roland, perhaps you, or others with a computer science degree, get into the specific metrics for us uneducated folks and save us some time in looking it up ourselves? And have an actual discussion? Please? (ok, so I lied...not my last post)

similar to that. And I can understand that. When I see something that I have a good understanding of done wrong, I see it a lot more and makes me wanna fix it. Maybe I didn't read wiki close enough when I looked at it earlier (totally possible, considering how late it is for me), but it didn't give everything, like the specific metrics.

Dymlos, Roland...I hate to butt in...but could you two stop? I see this kind of circle jerking enough in other threads...could we not do this in one that could actually be educating? Otherwise, I think this thread might as well be locked and shut down...

That's how I felt when I saw the Jagermech.

The Clan mechs look great though. Except for the Summoner having long barrels on both arm weapons.

I actually pointed out some specific metrics, and examples of their application, in my response to your post where you requested them previously, I believe. So one or two pages back.

Man they won't listen. They need post examples of the hardships they have with UI2.0 with proof. (Screenies anyone?)

http://mwomercs.com/...c/117053-ui-20/ They showed their plan way back. People didn't complain.

Pageflow not matching taskflow? How please post how this is so.

The only thing I want is that mech silhouette where you can click to jump to arms or torsos. Or better yet just interactive Smurfy mech lab.

Honestly, what would probably be more useful in terms of screen real-estate would be to just throw all the component bins into a single list, similar to what they had back in MW3. It'd save screen real-estate, let you show the big mech picture (which PGI seems totally locked into), and allow easy mech building without having to click back and forth between many different locations over and over again.

Eh I hated the MW3 mechlab for some reason but got through it. I'm telling you. List view will fix a lot of problems.

UI 2.0 has been a godsend. Aside from a lil too much clicky to get where you're going its preferable to UI 1.0. where i was like:
Posted Image
After logging in. After a match. After Editing a loadout. After clicking on that 'mech when it finally did load in. After switching between Loadout/Camo/modules Tab.
Come to think of it, if my time on UI1.0 could be summarized into a pie graph, it'd be 10% 'Mech Building, 5% 'Mech fighting and 85% on the forums waiting for the gods damned UI to finally load in my 'Mechs.

For anyone who "never had lag", congratulations on only owning 1 - 3 'Mechs?
