PGI has received your threads. They know many people on the forums are unhappy with their design decisions. Regardless players repeatedly start identical threads apparently in the hope that this time it will prompt them to change things.

It simply isn't their priority. Be it from a different design philosophy, some statistical information they've collected, lack of skill, lack of available programmers or lack of desire to spend the resources to change it.

It has been evidenced throughout MWO's forum history that feedback doesn't influence the game. Be it a 200 page thread about ECM or a 300 page thread about 3rd person or even the UI 2.0 test server feedback thread who's recommendations were ignored.

All that can be done by the players is play or leave be it for a short time or permanently.

So why do you continue beating the dead horse?

Why do people pray?
Because against all better judgment, they hope for things to change :(

Maybe not but it influences the people playing it , people new to the game so they know what to expect . Thus one hopes PGI will have to do something when they've let the game rot so much the money stops coming. I think this could of been amazing its a great franchise a lot of potential , The mistake was giving it to the likes of PGI. Or perhaps its not even PGI's fault perhaps they hired really bad staff , But why weren't they fired ?

The MWO forum are basically a support group.

We come here to cry on each other's shoulders about what this game could have been, and the steps that could bring it there. It also feels good to share our shitass opinions with each other, even if they don't matter in the grand scheme of things.

In the hopes that one day this may change and PGI may start listening to its players?

I do agree that starting a new thread is silly when one exists, though trying to read over 20+ pages of posts to be current in a debate is tough.

I'm going to go start my own 'why do you post' thread now just for kicks :(.

It's like dreaming of winning the lottery when you won't buy a ticket.

Similar odds of occurring (winning the big prize or getting PGI to seriously listen), but they increase dramatically by actually posting compared to just being silent.

Yes, most of us are smart enough to stay out of a topic like this though.

Habit.

I'd like to go with the saying "I don't know how to quit you" (yes, please insert obvious reference here), but I'm pretty sure PGI will find a way to make that happen.

I think they do listen. I even think they've made a few decisions based on feedback. But it's usually about small things. Not big things that would require reinventing a mechanic. Which often enough is what people ask for.

But I post because I'm bored. Mostly I'm here for any new info. I don't try to troll. Though people get mad at me like I was trying : /

Oh btw - have you tried the search engine to find old threads to post in? Another thing that lies broken for the last two years - they didn't even manage to get a search engine with the most basic features like sorting posts by date. Pretty much the same as with UI 2.0 - but sorting 100 mechs is overrated anyway.
