Pretty obvious the missiles have some universal code that was overlooked, and when they added the Clan Code for testing purpose, they added the scaling globally, without realizing it. The big boy studios have let pretty bad code slip through on occasion too. It happens.


BUT.

One would think the first step would be.... to undo the Clan Missile Code that was added?

Maybe? (Then test it on private server until you figure out what is wrong...without leaving your player base totally borked in the interim.)

the fact the lead guy said no changes to missiles happened is kind of worrying.

He probably didn't even know about the work going on to prepare for clan missiles, man. He does design, not engineering.

When you give some level of autonomy to the people you work with, occasionally something goes into a project you're not aware of. And in this case, nothing in theory did go in to IS mech missile function, it was a clan missile function code issue.

BTW, is laser damage modified too by chance? After a couple of matches I got the impression that my LL and ML do somewhat less damage?!?

lolz. ZAP. Whenever I hear about all the code people have written, I wonder....so where are your coding credits, and ummm, you know.... proof? Cuz on the intrawebz I can tell people I have been everything from an astronaut to a mafia hitman.

I'm very keen to know if we will be getting a rebate on Premium time? this game has been unplayable for over 24 hours now, the least PGI could do is reimburse lost premium time and maybe as a good will gesture gift another 24 hours? I don't think that's a lot to ask.
