I bought T-Wolf, D-Wolf (both really obvious, quiaff?) and Nova as a highly versatile jumping medium. Thought about Kit Fox C for trolling purposes :o but then saw the release schedule and decided to buy it for CBills. Sarna says it costs around 5 million CBills, so it is pretty affordable even by IS standards.

I've bought up to the Stormcrow package so far with plans of getting to Masakari before time's up. I've been gradually paying into it as I've gotten the money so it's not just one lump sum.

Wow, Shar and Lukoi, I am impressed with both of you! Kudos on being objective and owning up to misunderstandings. It's rare to see that on the forums.

I picked up the Stormcrow a la carte. I love mediums, and this thing could be fun. I am now thinking about the TW with the S variant. A jumping 75 tonner with medium speeds and room for over 20 tons of weapon is hard to argue with. Not sure PGI has earned it, though.

TW+DW Ala Carte seems a fairly popular choice

lol, I wonder why. (Though it's funny how en vogue it has become to bash the TW already..... it's only the single most balanced combat platform to be introduced, barring horrid hitboxes.)

I apologize for that - I have spend a fair portion of the day reading what has felt like nothing but posts doing nothing but talking about how corrupt and evil PGI is.

That tends to put a damper on ones willingness to see the neutrals as actually neutral but upset. :o

So again - I apologize for my tone.

Nice to see you take the initiative with Lukoi, Shar, but I have one minor point I must pick at, at the risk of rekindling the hostility of yesterday.

"talking about how corrupt and evil PGI is"
Virtually no one in the running battle of an argument that was yesterday actually made such an assertion. Your deciding to simplify what WAS being said, and coin that term, taking things instantly to the extreme, combined with replies that were justposting the PGI Hiring Link over and over is what made it blow up in your face.

Most of us who have become dissatisfied do not feel PGI is "Evil or Corrupt" (I live in MExico, trust me, I know what Corrupt looks like). We do feel that PGI has consistently shown a pattern of poor decisions, some outright bad choices (and occasional sprinkling of incompetence, whether due to underestimating or Publisher Pressure, hard to say), and some very very BAD Community Management.

And most of us went on to consistently cite instance after instance of exactly how and where those failings occurred. And many of us, myself included, have stated and demonstrated (in the manner Russ said to, with our Wallet...... I bought the Loup de Guerre...did you?) that we are still willing to give PGI and this Game a chance. (And yes, I know there is the little group that tries to constantly push for Microsoft to strip PGI of the license..... thanks for grouping me with them.)

What we are not doing anymore, is blindly giving PGI the benefit of the doubt. It's been the same old story too often, for too long. It's time for them to start delivering, and THEN, then will be the time for Russ to push for a healing between Community and Devs. But when a person develops a pattern of all out failing to do what they say, eventually, even if you like them, you have to realize that is likely who they are. You can try to support them as they change, but THEY have to make the change.

There isn't an Agenda to paint PGI as the Galactic Empire (unless it's the Space Balls version, lol), there are very few accusing PGI of being corrupt and evil. There are a lot who are tired pf promises and platitudes, and just want PGI to embrace simple principle, and let their Yes mean YES, and their No, NO. Not "well, that was our position at the time". Once or twice that works. But it's a horrible company mantra.

That said, indeed, yes, despite my re-derailing of the thread, yes, Clan Mechs?

Masakari. Gunna try to figure out how to use those 4 ER PPCs.

Though I fear that mech is going to have a everything hits the CT problem.....same will prolly go for the Timby. Those mechs have jutting torsos which is prolly not going to them any favors.

Timby is a headshot and CT shot waiting to happen. The CT will prolly be the entire Cockpit area plus prolly half its sides as well. Its hit boxes usually suck really damn bad in most games. Mechcommander 2 being pretty horrid as well. In that game every 3rd shot hits the head. Every timby I send out dies to a headshot with little to no damage anywhere else.

Yes, always preferable to presume DOA before any testing has occurred. I would note the CT on this version (much to the chagrin of the TT purists) is significantly blunted. Might it indeed be a problem still? Yes, which is why I believe I stated "barring horrid bitboxes".

Uller.

Then Masakari.

Then Masakari refund.

If we see hard points/omnipod rules in detail, that may change (back or to a la carte).

I need to know more. Like, a lot more.

We know the variants now, they gave us all the omni rules, the only thing we are missing is the exact specs of the weapons.

I tend to be guilty of that too. If I was going to go Clan I would have. But since it was for an alternate account, and my 3 fave Clan Omnis were the first 3 tiers, that is what I got for that account.

Masakari all the way. Can't wait to try out all the new mechs. Never quite felt the Phoenix mechs and haven't really leveled them up. But I am certain this won't be true with the clan mechs...fingers crossed.

Why not just go for 2xCERRPC and 2xCLPL?

I bought the Poncho Punch pack because no Clan Otter Pop warrior would be without one.
