I did consider it, but it would not save me much. I ran out of ammo with 2 full tons of SRM ammo, so going with an ERSLas and 1.5 tons of SRM ammo for an additional dub would not benefit me much. However, you might like swapping out the ERMlas altogether for an additional heatsink so your three button mouse can cope with it. Left ERPPC, Right ERPPC, SRMs?

I was actually surprised by how good the hitboxes on the Timber Wolf were. Arms and torsos were often lost before my CT. Lowest percent to kill I was at was 13%. XD

I took some videos if you want to check them out. All Dire Wolf and Timber Wolf, but honestly, they were so much fun I couldn't tear myself away from them...https://youtube.com/...z2MSA40gHy46y_I

Wait, so even if you already own the armor, you must pay? That is stupid, considering the liberties they took with the IS customization.

If you have spare armor, you use that before paying, just like IS tech. The difference is most of us don't have a stockpile of Clan gear yet, so you go through money FAST trying to play around with loadouts. Honestly, I think that was the biggest benefit of the public test - free loadout trials.

Aff, I realize that now. :D After the test server finally let me on, I figured it out.

An observation after yesterday's test. I don't know if people will agree with me or not since obviously there were few IS mechs to be found on the field but at least Clan vs Clan battles were much more viceral and engaging that the current crop of IS vs IS matches we get on the production server.

I saw mechs, red all over keep fighting for a good while. A battle that lasted a few minutes actually happened in a 300 meter radius on Crimson Straits north of the pass, into the industrial complex where nothing usually ever happens. I know this has to do with the mesures PGI took to lessen pin point and front loaded damage and it is working!

On top of that, the positive reinforcement when simply using clan weapons, especially ballistics and missiles is non negligible. I mean by that the fun one has simply pressing the trigger and watch a stream of depeted uranium slugs fly down range or a swarm of missiles arc up over the battlefield.

Maybe I'm just too much into it right now and it will all come crashing down when faced against AC40 jagers and monster LRM boats of the Inner Sphere...

Totally off subject, but I know I had at least one match with you yesterday - always great to see fellow forum warriors in game!

Hmmm..., did anyone note down the torso twist ranges on the clan mechs? Especially the Nova, given its twistless heritage.

Seconding this.

Nova was good in Mech2 due to the insane JJ mechanics.... and I really want my Nova :D

Nova twists at minimum 90 degrees. The arm movement is a little limited, however.

I actually ran out of time for gathering stats. I wanted to get in as much time using the mechs as possible. Even then I did not get to try all the CTs that were available. The only mech that I recall being annoyingly lacking in the twist was the Dire Wolf. I believe it was the only one without at least 90° to each side. The Nova had plenty of twist in it and seemed like a fairly nimble platform. I wanted to get more time in with it but I dropped with an IS mech to compare, then had my last amazing Warhawk game and called it quits. Did not matter as the server shut down shortly after.

Only mechs I did not experiment with were the Dire Wolf and Adder. My fellow clansmen were in tears using those two, though. Quad LRM10 Adder so trolly. XD

I did not get to try a quad missile setup on that little guy, bet it was a good laugh lol. I need to give the DW more time, I hate the sluggishness and lack of twist. 4xUAC10 was entertaining though muahahahaha

Me and DoctaD made some pretty brutal builds for the DW. Practically a freight train of death but with a slow everything. I not being a lurm boater myself had to much fun with the Summoner B and watching Akula in the Adder just shoot dumb amounts of missiles.

We had two LRM40 adders coordinating on Narced targets backed up by my 2xERPPC, 2xLPlas, LRM10 Warhawk, and lk's Summoner. Screwed if they ran. Screwed if they stayed still.

....really.... *sigh* I made plans with my lady friend since I knew this next week was going to be full of Clans. Why PGI! WHY!? Not a choice I want to make, but MWO is not going to win this decision lol.

Ok, so there has been a lot of misinformation going around and a lot of complaints of no info about the Clans. There actually has been a boat load of information, just not all located on these forums. At the same time there are still a lot of gaps. Also, the information that is on the forums is scattered, in addition to the external site info. What I have done is consolidated all of the information I have found and supplied sources to back it up. Prepare for a long read, there is no TL:DR. (Majority of sources are linked at the bottom of the post instead of on a per item basis, as this would get out of hand quick.)

Maybe PGI/IGP should hire you to organize this mess they call information.
