I figured it wasn't going to get to a 295 engine and keep its jump jets, but I was hoping for at least a 250 maximum. 90kph (99 with tweak) max speed with jump jets doesn't feel game-breaking to me as the Shadowhawk can go 106 (116 with tweak) and still jump.

It wouldn't affect gameplay plus it'd require more people to drop c-bills or MC on a slightly faster/slower 250XL engine (those with the 235 max Blackjacks would already have a 225 to 235XL while a 1X owner would already have a 280-295XL). Saves me from getting a new XL engine, but I don't mind spending the extra c-bills if I had the option.

And here I am waiting for the clan mechs to drop so I can paint my mechs that clan neon green.

I think this machine has great potential here's to hoping due to the standard engine and cheap weapon load out it will be closer to the X5 price. 3000MC.

All hero mechs are priced 75 MC per ton, regardless of what equipment they come with. The Arrow will cost 3375 MC.

Yep. Especially since it does not have a dominant side.

The paint scheme for the Arrow reminds me of the "Cheron natives" from the original Star Trek (especially since that purple is dark enough that it will probably look like black on most maps, anyway)... ;) :)

So when two Arrows drop against each other, does one of the mechs swap their colours around before they fight?

Think i may try XL220, 2xAC2, 4xMG, 3xML for some ultimate dakka but would be a hot build. Quite a sight with all those barrels and muzzle flashes with the ml providing some zombie mode. And the AC2's doing hill humping duty.

That sounds like a good project for one of the vid artists/groups (e.g. Heffay) - take two Arrows, swap the left/right colors on one of them, drop in a private match, and have them fight while playing the Cheron natives' dialogue from the Trek episode (or having the players speak the lines). ;) :)

So stoked about this hero. I've been waiting for an actually GOOD medium hero since, forever!

The dakka... the agility... the cosmetics... the cbill bonus

I'm having waking wet dreams!

Yeah... 2.5 weeks that you can fill with ARROWy joy... enough to make you wonder why you ever even bothered to throw money at the clan mechs anyway, when the IS can pump out magic like this!

But what about artic maps?

Basically, because most mechs have their loadout heavier on the right side, so at cornerpopping when you go around counterclockwise, you will see his left side more often. :)

I really want timber wolf and a stormcrow but i'd have to be mad to pay real dosh for what they're asking for one. The prime i suppose you can get away with with a 30% c-bill boost being the clan equivalent of the IS hero's. As for the gold mechs...well the less said the better. I'm thinking i'd much rather pay less for an underdog (IS) hero and grind up some c-bills with a nice looking hero and maybe with some premium time leftover and then buy one of the dubious clan mechs with C-bills in 5-6 months time.

I foresee a massive patch chaos and one very ropey game when the clan mechs are released so i'd rather stick with what i know.

Edit: looking at this mech from the left i see a lot a storm trooper jokes coming up.

If the engine cap were 255 - the mech would be golden. But alas, I will have to settle for its current engine cap :)

Bah no heromech should have higher engine limit than normal variants. (In this case sure increase it to 295 like 1X and take out jumpies)

Or you could make the C-Bill variants have the same engine limit, because their current one is a notch too low anyways. And you could remove the bloody torso yaw quirk nerfs from the 1DC and 1X variants, because it's so hilariously unnecessary to nerf such a mech...especially given the fact that we have the Shadow Hawk (and Griffin to a lesser extent) dominating the medium lineup.
