Fewest number of variants in the game except for the Wolverine, but that just came out not long ago. Could we get some Griffin love please?

I just want a hero, and one that looks cool. I think it would be fine to have 2 energy in each arm and 1 missile in each torso. basically the same a 1S but more evenly spread hard points and a sweet paint job would be great.

I longingly await the Hero Griffin, but would love to see a few variants added like the other PHX pack Mechs got.

After 53 matches since stat reset have a 3.43 WLr and 3.60 KDr, so I am very fond of it, as one might imagine.

Gets killed more, being an in-fighter and hunter, but it makes for a fun switch from the SHD meta.

and my GRF-1S I use as my main mech in Stock Mech Matches.

yes, the "il Fianchetto" Piloted by Bishop Steiner.

Overall hardpoints are not dissimilar to the 1N, save that 2 of theEnergy are moved to the LA (Medium Lasers), with one Energy in the RA (PPC), 2 Missiles in the RT (SSRM x2) and 1 Missile in the LT (LRM15), along with BAP and a max of 4 JJs. Agility quirk is 15% faster torso rotation.

Many people don't know it, but Bishop Steiner is the most famous Griffin Pilot (that you have never heard of!)

Since the stat reset I have 94 drops in my Griffin-1N. Next closest mech is Wolverine-6R at 26. So, yeah, I like Griffins. I'd take any new Griffin they released.

If they release a ballistics variant....shadowhawk is done stick a fork in it. Shadowhawk moves like a brick, Griffin like a ballerina (hunchback).

I'd have a whole lot more if I hadn't encountered so many connectivity issues since Launch Module was released, and if I wasn't so addicted to SMM. I freaking LOVE driving my Griff. It's funny, pre-stat wipe, I tolerated my 1N and made hay with the 3M. Post stat wipe I decided to embark on a total rebuild of the 1N and 1S. 1S i was never happy with (until SMM), but I built the current 1N on a total whim, and it jsut has clicked for me so much that now my 3M is the one collecting dust.

first canon of those don't happen til 3066 (GRF-5M with a Light Gauss Rifle, I believe) and it would be... probably a mistake for a Hero to have ballistics.

It'd have to be a hero, as we don't see a stock one till the Jihad-era 5M with it's light Gauss rifle. Knowing PGI, it'd likely troll us all with two ballistic HP's...in the CT. ^ ^

Well....Sarna says energy probably similar to PPCs (which behave like ballistics but are also energy). Either way I know that variant will not be picked so much tech not in game yet.

This is why I love them. I run my 1S with 7/7 Jump jets w/ an XL350 (113kph) and it's amazing. It's a nimble fella'.

God yes. Since all the mechs I own (save 1) are all mastered, I have gone back to my roots and playing my Mediums and Heavies (Mostly my HBKs, GRFs, CTFs, CLPTs, ON1s, and my SHDs).

With 55 mechs I've finally become content with the ones I have (mainly mediums). Since the stat reset I've dropped in 37 different mechs yet over half of my drops come from 5 mechs. Griffin-1N, Wolverine-6R, Banshee-3E, Grid Iron and Shadowhawk-2H.

And I kind of hate that the Banshee is on that list. I 8/8ed two of them and lost the desire to finish. I never even bought the third one. I'm just bad at assault mechs. But 50ish tonners running around at 90-110kph? Yes please, all day.
