With the announcement of the team they are using Cryengine 3 to make the game, i came to thought if my PC will be able to move it. I found out it may work, but then came to my mind what kind of computers got the rest of the community, so let's see.

I'll start with mine.

Motherboard: Asus M2V
Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 6400 Black Edition
Memory: Kingston 4GB DDR2 533 Mhz
GPU: PNY GeForce 460GTX 1GB DDR5
SoundCard: Soundblaster X-FI Xtreme Music
PSU: Corsair 750TX

My job requires me to be completely mobile, so I play everything on a laptop. But it's not an ordinary laptop, it's a Clevo X7200. It has a DESKTOP Core I7 970 x6, NOT the mobile core i7 processor, but the actual X58 desktop six core chip (12 processing threads with hyperthreading). It has dual Nvidia 470m GPUs in SLI. The mobile 470 GPUs are about as powerful as a desktop 450 GTS. I have 6GB of 1333 mhz ram (triple channel)

As you can imagine, that's a lot of power for a laptop, so it pretty much has to stay plugged in when I'm using it. Battery lasts maybe 20 minutes lol.

With this new info I will definitely have to replace my whole rig to play this game. XP3200+, 2GB DDR400 RAM, and GT6600 are NOT going to cut it. Well I guess I'm WAY overdue for an upgrade anyway, not exactly surprising.

Lets see...
WinXP Professional SP3.
Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q9550
4GB RAM
DirectX 9.0c
ATI Radeon HD4870 (1GB edition)

Yeah, around 3 years old.
But right now I can't get a new comp due to a lack of good operating systems on the current market (no, I do not like win7), since I want to be able to play my old games as well as new ones (my oldest game dates back to 1984 - older than I am). Which tends to be a problem on OS newer than WinXP.

Windows 7 64 Bit
AMD Phenom 9150e Quad Core ~1.8 GHz
4096 MB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GT 440 2273 MB
Even though it's a little old, I'm pretty sure it can run CryEngine.

What stops you installing Windows XP on a new system if that's what you want? New hardware is still compatible with it.

Dual booting and virtualisation are also viable options. DOS games are no longer a problem thanks to DOSBox (in fact it's preferable to XP's own DOS support), which leaves only the pickier Windows games, and most of those can be fixed to run natively anyway.

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo
GPU: X1950 Pro
PSU: 550W Cooler Master
Audio: Sound Blaster X-Fi Fatal1ty Pro Super Gamer Master Pwnerer something edition, 5.1 speakers
8 gigs ram
1xSSD, 5xHDD
Win 7 64 bit Ultimate

I moved to console gaming when PS3 came out because I didn't want to spend a console's amount of money on upgrading my computer every two years, and got tired of wasting time keeping up to the current computer specs. I might be convinced to upgrade if MWO and Diablo III are good.

This is a little dated but it still runs everything at the highest settings without breaking a sweat. I can also overclock to 4.0 ghz if I need to.
Running W7 Ultimate 64.

Motherboard: Gigabyte X-58 UD3R
CPU: Intel Core i7-930 + Noctua DH14 Cooler
RAM: 6 GB Triple Channel G-Skill PI
Graphics: 2 x Nvidia GTX 260's in SLI

I think I might look at upgrading my graphics cards for MWO. So far it pushes out pretty well, only because they are in SLI.

And there is still more than enough headroom to overclock the CPU, so shouldn't be any issues there. As long as I can get about 60 FPS at full settings, I'll be happy. However, I doubt I'll get that. 2 GTX 560's or 570's would be nice.

Best components by money/performance ratio.

Build it before 1155 socket came out, otherwise there will be 2500k instead of 760.

Will be upgraded when new consoles finally will be released or/and kepler or maxwell from nvidia came out.

Holy jesus the early 90's want their computer back! :) I know it's a typo, but still funny.

I've got...

i7 920 2.6 GHZ OC'd to 3.5 GHZ
Quad SLI Nvidia GTX 295 1.7 (x2) gigs of memory(that's two cards, it's quad set up due to each card having two GPU's) Waiting until after xmas to upgrade to see the next run of Nvidia cards.
Windows Vista 64 bit
6 gigs of Corsair ram
