Narc Duration Decreased

The problem that I have is that a raven can just press one button and basically sentence any mech in the game to the proverbial 'Mech hell so i say this why not decrease the duration of NARC from 30 to 10 or 15 seconds so that direwolves can do their intended purpose which is to be a tank and to get focused I personally would prefer to get focused rather than getting clicked on by LRMS

Find ECM, some cover or shut down to stop the NARC from doing anything.

Narc duration is fine, but I wouldnt mind seeing narc be deactivated if the mech gets hit by a ppc.

One of the last discussions before the NARC buffs that was "passed along" to the Devs had NARC lasting 60 seconds so consider yourself lucky I guess.

NARC is the most OP of all items in this PUG game.

So can any clan mech short of the kitfox. It's called an Alpha strike. Do you even AMS?

So you want to be protected from the unfair indirect LRM fire by getting hit with a weapon that requires an enemy has LOS to you and can provide indirect targeting for LRMs anyways?

Sure, you can have that.

NARC used to have a short duration and it was garbage that no one cared to used.

In your example a light mech (Raven) NARCs a target and then several other mechs with LRMs fire on the NARCed target.

So rather than seek a solution using several other mechs to handle a situation caused by several mechs being used cooperativley you want a nerf to NARC.

Solution one: terminate the NARC mech Have you noticed that little mechs with NARC die in a puff of smoke if they are actually hit.

Solution two: Use ECM support to jam the NARC's signal.That raven is probably paired up with a LRM boat (stalker/Battlemaster etc) The NARC is harmless without that other mech taking advantage.So why should the solution not require cooperation from your side?

I just don't understand what a NARC warning would do. You already get a free INCOMING MISSILE warning built into your mechs. If you can't react to that a freakin NARC warning isn't gonna save you.

no you dont. theres no in-cockpit indicator that you have a narc attached to you.

Not quite. The narc'd Mech gets no indication at all, and there's a big difference between "INCOMING MISSILE" which is easily avoided by getting behind a hill, and "LOL YOU'RE NARC'D YOU'RE DOOMED" unless you power down.

Powering down vs normal missiles is useless as the volley in the air is still going to hit you, so you've really accomplished nothing. Powering down vs narc-assisted missiles is the only way to prevent death unless you have COMPLETE cover available nearby.
