The TC is something that I will withhold judgement on. From the looks of it it could also add a lead indicator and I'd be cool with it. Those bonuses are kinda insane. I'd totally put it on my Timber Wolf for that jack of all trades bonuses.

But we will see if it worth anything.

While I realize that the values are for are just placeholders, but if the proportions are right, the Clantech is hands-down better than the Inner Sphere equivalent - and probably not worth the weight, considering what it doesn't do. Any chance we could see the bonuses from the Command Console provided to the entire team?

PS: They probably wouldn't stack with each other, just provide redundancy, which fits thematically with the differences between a Command and Control device and an individual's Targeting Computer.

I'm underwhelmed, was hoping for something actually unique (like precise armor values, or engine type, with a readout of the best location to hit)

Butv I'm glad it at least does something. Probably won't use it, except maybe for guass.

I'll be honest.

Command console is just a 2X as heavy BAP, with less useful bonuses and lower numbers for the two things that matter.

Please rethink the thing.

Yeah. They did not think this one through. Seems like a lazy implementation. I really expect much better from them tbh.

I think the command console should be made exclusive to the Atlas DDC and then its ECM should be removed in exchange. The whole idea of a stealth Atlas in MWO is absurd and always made me chuckle. The canon Atlas in Battletech does not have ECM. This change means that ECM can only be equipped on small mechs, increasing their battlefield value.

And an Atlas would be one of the few mechs large enough to actually hold another passenger comfortably which is what the command couch is: a seat for a copilot essentially.

This is a terrible idea, and the atlas has about 558582575725 variants that are made for electronic warfare.

Very interesting. I like the TC.

The CC is still underwhelming. It needs something more for the 3 ton investment.

It really seems that the Command Module is useless. BAP is half the tonnage and 2/3s the function. Is there any chance the Command Module may improve our Battemap use? Perhaps drawing LINES, or ARROWS? Anything beyond the 3 lance specific waypoints?

Or moving away from our un-useful battlemap command screen, what about seeing actual armor values? You know, a real number. That seems like something an advanced targeting computer may be able to acomplish, perhaps set priority targets?

My feedback: Are you out of your bloody minds? Making projectiles travel even faster is the worst idea that will make the current metagame even more stale and boring.

The non-weapon boost bonuses look pretty great though!

When the biggest complaint of your game is a prevalence of pinpoint long rage damage, delivered through projectiles, deciding to increase projectile travel speed is just such an absurd idea.

Neither one of these are worth a damn.

Tonnage for scan time? That's what modules are for and hell I don't even bother with those.

Hundreds of good ideas on what to do and this is what you guys came up with?

I consider both of these idea's Failures.

Another missed opportunity.

You want feedback.

Make the Command Console work like this:

Posted Image

1. Whoever has a command console can see what loadouts enemy mechs have (If they have been scanned)

2. Whoever has a command console can then assign targeting priority to different targets (Instead of a red box around that enemy mech it might be Purple, or Yellow to let everyone on your team know to kill that one)

3. Whoever has a command console can issue orders to lances and give them Waypoints to travel to

4. Lastly, whoever has a command console can call down artillery from the map screen. (Sort of like call of duty)

I agree, its becoming more and more quake style. The one thing we didn't need was bonuses to projectile speed. Get ready to be popped faster than ever before bitchin betty can even take a breath.

Hmm... right.

Why should such equipment provide a speed boost as such?

I didn't process that part as quickly as I probably should have.

That can be a problem in the future. Too pronounced an effect, considering currently known weapon speeds compared to real-life weapons.

Spoiler

So, it seems like the Target Info Gathering module is worth 3 tons and one slot, amIright?
