I'm done.

Will see you guys in MW:LL.
For MWO, it's all over. I tried but this game is no longer fun.

Finally tried MWLL last week, and I must say that THIS is the MWO we should've gotten or at least this is the closest we'll probably get. For one thing, it actually feels like a multiplayer Battletech/MechWarrior game instead of a generic, half-assed team deathmatch game with battlemechs.

Well, actually instead of MWO, we should've gotten the MW5 that was announced in that E3 trailer several years ago. Seriously, who asked for a multiplayer-only MW game after having been years since MW4: Mercenaries? MW's greatest strength is the incredibly deep lore it draws from Battletech. I know it may sound hypocritical after praising MWLL, but at least MWLL embraces what it is and doesn't pretend to be anything more. Plus, MWLL's mechs, weapons, and other equipment actually resemble what they're supposed to from the source material with no ******** like "ghost heat" or chargeable gauss rifles (which makes no logical sense btw. The fact that gauss rifles are always charged is the reason why they explode when critted.)

Funny, and to each their own.

I felt it was the other way around.

Edit:
A fact not helped by MWLL's nature as a half-assed team deathmatch game modded to LOOK like Mechwarrior.

I am surprised this thread is allowed to exist. It is like Blizzard allowing talk of those legacy fan servers for WoW to be discussed on their official forums.

That is a bad comparison, MWLL is neither MWO beta legacy version nor a modded version of MWO that contains no microtransaction but a game that is very different from MWO.
It's more comparable to a thread about modded MW4, Hawken, HeavyGear ... as long as they are in the Off Topic Section there should be no problem.
Just like discussing MWO in the off topic channel of the MWLL discord is no problem.

MWLL is undead. It will not be fully alive again until quadmechs become a thing.

I was playing it yesterday and sure enough there was a full server with fun and action.

I highly recommend people to go play it, the servers will fill up.
Just need YOU to go start filling them!

Even with GameSpy and now Qtracker services going down, MechWarrior: Living Legends still lives on!
Patch 0.8.6 released yesterday, and brought with it a custom-made server browser service. This means no more having to rely on outside services (and hopefully more stable connections)!
Additionally, a different folder structure is included, and some minor quality-of-life improvements were made!

You can get 0.8.6 here, as always: https://clanjadewolf.net/mwll/

I love LL. I have spent too much of my free time trying to rebuild the MechWarrior 3 community though. I am currently installing 8.6.

This is a great MechWarrior game. It's got it right with respawns and adding more vehicles to fight in besides just Mechs. The maps are huge, the weapons feel right, the sound is great. What an amazing free game.
