If you dont like the BT lore and design, perhaps Titanfall or one of the other mech games is more your speed?

The problem is that none of the other mech games are so broken that they can min/max their way to easy wins over uncoordinated enemies and feel good about themselves. Until the mechanics of this game are fixed the Call Of MWO players will stay here.


The solution is to eliminate the ability to field a superior loadout on 3 or 4 chassis and do something to make ALL chassis valid for their given role.

The players didn't go wrong anywhere. If this community has been fractured it's solely because of poorly implemented features (ie matchmaker) and bad game design (ie mech roles, mechanics and weapons implementation), topped off by an "absentee landlord" developer team who has left the community to fend for itself and find fun wherever and if they may.

All chassis are valid. it's not the mech or the weapons. its you the pilot and how you use them.

Myself and others can attest to doing well in stock builds, joke builds, or specialized builds.

Some people are just going to be better at a game than you, no matter what you play

Part of the problem with the community is in the title of this very thread.

It's not where the players went wrong. The players are playing within a system created by PGI. The title SHOULD read something like where PGI went wrong. This isn't players' faults. This is the system they are forced to play within. You can't blame players for playing the game as intended by a dev team. Stop blaming each other and start blaming PGI.

Well after playing with the Clan Mechs all day, all I can say is these were some of the best matches ive had in a very very long time. Non-stop 12-8, 12-11, 12-9, a few that were rolls, but not nearly as bad. But when it came to IS vs. Clan there was no competition. Im hoping PGI will use the data from today to give IS mechs a good buff or something to make them useful, because right now I dont see myself piloting them other then on match days.

I think nerfs are better then buffs right now...I mean I understand the logic behind people who say buff everything instead of nerfing a few things but that has to be taken into context and right now increasing time to kill is not going to make people more happy. When it gets to the point that you can reliably 1/2shot any mech then this game will be no different from any other fps...and I would be biased on this but I do not play fps games because it is simply boring twitch skills and all the tactical side of the gameplay basically goes out the window.
