AFAIK, all that will happen next week is that Clan Mechs will start dropping alongside and against IS Mechs in the three existing variations of Team Deathmatch. Ie, just another 8 kinds of chassis in the ongoing team deathmatch meatgrinder.
That's not exactly "an invasion" is it. An "invasion" would require defined starting territories, moving battlefronts, etc. You know, something like what we all hope Community Warfare might one day be.
Qiaff...?
Or is there something more planned for when the Clan Packs drop?

Should an existing 'Public test' Client update itself or do i have to download a whole new Public Test Client ?
Because my existing Public test Client isn't patching.

Pre order today, play tomorrow and then ask for a refund if not happy.

@Niko
Does this test involve the SRM FIXES and other changes as well?! or is it purely a mech test with CURRENT issues!!!?!?!

At least it gives Smurfy ample time to collect the raw data and begin setting up his 3rd party mechlab well in advance of the release on Tuesday
This. Having some time to prep builds before the 17th will let me enjoy the mechs more once they hit the servers.

They probably also want people to actually play IS mechs during the test so they can get any kind of hint about how IS and Clan mechs interact. If everyone could play Clan mechs then, well...everyone would probably just play Clan mechs (except for those really die hard IS guys).

It's not up yet. If the past is any indicator, expect PGI to have that stuff uploaded 3-4 hours before the everyone can get access to it.
Then again... IIRC, the last PTS had some time eaten into it because a last minute hotfix/patch had to be made at the time (which ate into 15-20 minutes of the original start time of the event).
The event should be 24 hours long IMO... not 12. Give everyone in all timezones a chance to play with.

The nice thing about Public tests is being able to go nuts with your CBills and MC . It's all "fake" money, so you might as well try as many builds as you can.

By the way they look like they are single streams, I'm thinking Blue SRMs or LRMs
Cheers.

Well, the problem with that is you would get everyone on the test server running Clan Mech's and there is no way to try and balance them against IS if everyone is running Clan tech.

An Answer about the "SRM Question" would also be nice

Unfortunately, this is precisely 3am-3pm my time, on a workday (and the last time I got up that early to play MW:O, my wife wouldn't talk to me for two days ... not risking that again).
I look forward to seeing the streams after the PTS.
