Besides, even if you do miss the playtest I suspect there will be a lot of youtube videos afterwards.

Did you actually mean "running around while holding an egg"? Oops! My Bad! That's American "football".

omg, someone gets it...
P.S. the cost of bringing this tourney to the country was roughly 60% of their annual education budget... Furthermore, fifa is continuing an extremely archaic business model that essentially prays on the wealth of the host nation...
People with hearts grounded in reality are not supporting this event... wake up sheeple

Opportunistic felling of players through bodily damage by inconceivable causes.

Love to play with the new toys but unfortunately there is something bigger going on.
First off... This is not a major playtest. This is more of a starter meal... A chance for them to get some head start on the data while giving us a bone.
Secondly... I am sure that most people have access to a secondary screen to keep an eye on all those balls being kicked.
Thirdly.. Does not impact me so i dooooo.... noooooot.... caaaaaaaare.... *dances around with a huge swedish flag fully aware that sweden did not even qualify and thus have no stage in the entire thing*

And hey, look on the bright side....you may not have a team in the World Cup, but you still have Opeth! (new album out soon!) Opeth>WorldCup anyhow.

The most popular sport in Clan Ghost Bear is American Football.
Soccer is like baseball, fun to play, horribly boring to watch. I tried to watch the world cup with some of my friends who are all into soccer. And quite frankly, I was more entertained (and a bit disgusted) by the losing teams fans throwing a temper tantrum and getting into fights with the winning teams fans, and the players, and then take their rage into the streets and cause property damage.

But watching soccer is snooze fest. Sorry, I can't do it. I enjoy watching sports but just not that. Zzzzzz...

Just not fixating on 1 game magically taking up all 12 hours.
(Whereas if it were football season, yes the whole day is taken up watching football)
On a somewhat related note I drive past Crew Stadium every day. They keep trying to get me to buy season passes since I attended some concerts at the stadium.

I blame the Latin countries, and their hundreds of soap operas. Everyone loves hat drama. I don't see dives happening in the next 10 years. Red Cards and things are happening. Everyone knows its a scourge of the sports reputation.
Remember, this isn't falling on the ground for the pure sake of drama, this is to encourage the other team to lose a player, or an advantageous position to kick from.

Its not, unless its G'damned Tiki-Tak... eff old Barc, and now Pep is ruining Bayern. That style has been crushed by dynamic teams, thank goodness.

New rule, if you go down injured, you're on the bench for 20 minutes to give the injury proper time to present itself....like hockey concussion protocol.
