Guys what the hell happend to CSJ? I was just looking at the maps and i saw this!

So yeah, after reforming the Star League, the combined might of the Inner Sphere, Comstar, Clan Wolf-in-Exile and Clan Nova Cat go to town on the Smoke Jaguars in Operation Bulldog and Serpent with the end result that by 3061 Clan Smoke Jaguar has ceased to exist... in classic Battletech Canon, which won't be worth much here.

Its the greatest travesty in BT lore, when most of us stopped reading the novels including myself. How could they get rid of the CSJ the villains of BT. It would be like Star Wars without the Sith or Star Trek without the Borg. It just wasn't right especially considering that CJF and CW were still recovering from the refusal war and were both not yet up to full strength. They would of been easy pickings compared to CSJ

But as for the invasion, pretty much the IS got together under the banner of the star league defense force went to Huntress and beat the Smoke Jaguar keshik, then they went to Starna Mechy to challege all the clans,...but Ghost Bear Khans got scared and deicided to suddenly switch sides and say they were wardens now and that operation bulldog was an operation against crusader clans only. Now here is where it gets to be BS...the Star league wins. IlKhan Lincoln Osis who is the leader of CSJ and also IlKhan challenges Victor Davion to a duel, Victor refuses but Lincoln attacks anyways and loses his head (literally) and Smoke Jag folds except for Galaxy Commander Brenden Corbett who made a last ditch effort (failed effort) to resist against the invasion and resurrect Smoke Jaguar. Clan Diamond Shark also wanted to help repeal the invasion but Clan Wolf's Vlad Ward challenged CDS Khan Ian Hawker to a trial of refusal mostly because a Smoke Jag and Diamond Shark alliance would hurt Clan wolf. Ian lost so wasn't able to do nothing about the invasion, Ian then feeling like a failure committed suicide...thus losing Smoke Jag's only other ally

So basically with that THE ENTIRE CLAN folds and gives up....the ENTIRE CLAN that is based soley on warrior ethos just gives up. See how it makes NO SENSE, what were the writers thinking??????????? And then after wards they become the Fildlies and help Davlin Stone repeal the Word of Blake Jihad...so they basically help the people who destroyed them.

Just bad story telling past the year 3060...i heard that topps is going to resurrect the franchise, make a new series of novels taking place after Dark Age and bring back some of the OLD FACTIONS. So maybe we haven't heard the last of CSJ

Also look at that nice slice of territory carved up by Hell's Horse. I am impressed

Yep, but don't forget, MWO is supposed to follow an equal time ratio, starting at the clan invasion. So it'll be 12 years before that happens. Also don't forget, we went out fighting!

The Clans were the victims of their own warped honor code and the IS forces merely used that against them... CWF and CJF severely weakened simply didn't want to be dominated or absorbed by CSJ so they found an opportunity to annihilate CSJ and they took it. They figured that they could survive the IS if the Jags were taken out and they did for the most part.

Might want double that number as PGI/IGP threw out that plan last 3050 party they threw...

Yes, since Battletech was getting a power creep A'La Dragon Ball, they had to add the Word of Blake to even things out and unite the Clans with the Inner-Sphere (the Falcons reluctantly). And once the Blakists became too powerful, they made the Dark Age. Now that Catalyst is working on the lore again, it may get back to being good.
