Just to let it be known. I am buying three of these the day they become available. I will be playing them to their max. If they turn out to be considered OP then it is not my fault I am playing them. I made the decision in November and am still irked they brought out Spidergimp first.

Like what though?

Many of the more recognizable Mechs are Clan, and those are not coming just yet.

The Catapult, Atlas, Raven, Hunchback, Commando, Jenner, Awesome, are all pretty recognizable IS Mechs.

Are there any specific IS Mechs you think would be more recognizable to new players?

The reseen would be.

At first I was all :(  but then as I read the readout and looked closer... 3 ML's and 2 LRM-15's.... Sounds familiar... *looks up catapult description* 4 ML's and 2-LRM-15's... Did we really need mechs that are so similar?

Read my HBK-4SP:

2 LRM15s (3 tons ammo)
5 MLs

Similar you say.

or:

1 LRM20 (3 tons ammo)
1 SRM6 (1 ton ammo)
5 MLs

One of my favorite mechs fro the old paper and pencil game, when rocks were soft and before we voted for dirt. Been waiting to try one in MWO.

Dunno if i would buy one. It has to be seen if it has any advantage over the 4SP apart from the bigger engine that's heavier with less tonnage available.

Well, some variants have jumpjets.
It can also fit an XL 325 engine, which might be worth switching to from a standard 250-260.

Nice way to get some tonnage, but survivability will be a pain in the *** with an XL.

Speed is life.
My Cent 9D is about as survivable as my Cent 9A, despite the former using a 350XL and the latter a 255std. Sometimes speed is worth using an XL engine.

At last a "true" medium mech

Speed - Good not great, not slow, just good.
Firepower - Good, not great, not terrible
Armor - Okay could be better but not terrible

The "classic" medium mech, Jack of all trades, master of none

i bought 3 trenchies. yes they are fun but i don't any advantage for the chassis. other chassis can still do it better in my opinion and like the hunchie 4 sp u showed

Love my trebuchet(s) ... Amazing chassis.

Now I am waiting for my blackjack/Orion/Highlander .... The Jagermech will keep me going though.
