I'll probably get thrown off here for this, but here goes anyway !

Blind Test ? How do you expect us to not crash into stuff or shoot anything, if we can't see where we are going ? :D :D

( Runs away to hide somewhere. )

You'll do just fine in the 0-1000 Elo range. <_<

Awesome! More use of the Public Test Server is a very good thing.

This is being done really well. Hats of to you devs. You certainly made me cave and buy in during Thursday's test. Well played PGI. Well Played.

I am really happy about getting another go in my clan mechs before Tuesday! but why a Sunday???? I have work Monday morning :-( why why why can't they do it tomorrow when I can spend all night playing on the test and not have to worry about waking up for work :-(

Hopefully they will fix the random LRMs nose diving into the ground, the texture failure on the digital cammo and the warhawk head movement bug where you keep headbutting the cockpit glass.

If anyone is interested I recorded my last play session on the public test.

I'll try to drag Lordred along this time for screenshots.

In the mean time to tied people over.. This is one of several videos taken during yesterday's PTS.
Covers loosely (and without voice), some Nova customization, a quick look at the modules (which the bonus modules are identical to the upcoming 'buyable' modules for cbills except pre-order guys get a free copy of them), and taking the 12 ER ML Nova challenge. Fire all the lasers!!!!!!

I'm in the process of preparing and uploading more.

Well, there is the fact that they might want to run the test while their dev staff is available. Pulling a weekend shift is easy, pulling a weekend at a time you are SUPPOSED to be asleep is another matter entirely.

Well... hire Staff in Europe - Run a server in Europe - Problem solved

I was able to play a few games in the public test but had to go to a Ham Radio Club meeting. The largest bug I found was that I was consistently getting me arse shot off. Game play was smooth and graphics great.
In my opinion my initial problem with the inability to log in was that I was trying to play before the server went live.
Sunday, my oldest son is taking me to lunch at a very nice restaurant. Thankfully, he can afford that kind of stuff.

Afterwards, I look forward to blasting some Freebirth Surats.

It's like the second coming of Christmas.

I have so much 'mech science to do and so little time...

And the science gets done/And you make a neat gun/for the people who are still alive.

The big change this time that's needed:

Inject C-bills along with the Clan 'Mechs so people can readily tinker with builds.

If you want people to push things until the weak spots show, they need the money to do it.

I sold all of my inner sphere stuff to do this <_< (Special note: The frame of atlas is almost a quarter of the value of the frame of a Warhawk, clan mechs are going to be extremely pricey when they hit the cbill market.)

Just sell off your IS inventory.. (make sure you strip what modules you want to transfer)

Should be worth quite a few million.. and considering if you have the mechs, you can't pay an additional Endo/DHS/XL Engine tax.. so it comes down to the Omni Pods (which are worth roughly the price of a PPC a piece) and clan weapons, which are more expensive, but nothing like the IS Upgrade taxes.

But what about the gxp? not everyone has MC in their account to convert exp over.

Kind of have to agree with this. I saw a lot of people running stock mechs, or slightly tweeked stock mechs because they couldn't afford to buy a lot of goodies.

I had 20m banked and even so, I burned through 5m pretty quickly just modifying my Timber Wolf and fiddling with the various autocannons and whatnot.

If people had a lot of cash to play around with, I think matches would have been much more intense than they had been.
