Yes let's make the crappy AC/2 fire 8 slugs of .25 damage so its even moar worthless. I totally agree with the idea of burst fire ACs for the IS. AC/20 could be 40 slugs and AC/10 be 20 while the AC/5 is a burst of 10!

Unless we have manufacturer variants, I don't see a reason to change the AC2 much. The recent changes have been enough to balance it.

Really I've seen quite a few people who think it's still an issue since 2 of them weigh less than an AC/20 take only 2 slots total and yet still do the same DPS.

Calm down guys we still have gauss rifles, hell, we might even get heavy gauss, so pinpoint is going to stay for a while.

The issue is in TT you throw a dice for each individual weapon, while in MWO you throw only 1 dice to determine whether you hit with all your weapons or not (accuracy). The ideal solution would be to delay shots with each weapon in time, like forbid/penalize group fire unless targeting computer is used, 1-2 ton (depends on size) of TC equipment in specific location to allow one weapon in said location to be added into a group for exampe.

Compared to how they were 6 months ago, they are immensely better balanced.

The balance in your example would be that your damage is being spead and you have to actually HAVE twice as many ballistic hardpoints to make the comparison in the first place. Same issue as the ML vs LL comparison.
