I like that you all want everything on your golden cathedrals.

ECM, bigger engine, clan guns, clan endo, clan FF, clan XLs, ER mediums, twin gauss, brace of 6 machineguns, separate roof hitbox, huge side torsos for tanking, some kind of damage resistance so your 100 tonner doesn't go down as fast the 100 tonner I've been in for the past two years, a twist bonus, twin AMS, oh, and a red boss mode while we're at it.

It's pretty hilarious. Do you know why your daishi gets rolled? Because of an otherworldly effect called 'aiming for the nose with my 68 damage alpha.' You're not somehow more fragile than me - your mech is simply a priority target.

Get used to it.

But silly overpowered non-canon Stealth Armor ECM on the Atlas is totally a-okay?

The speed is on-par with the Atlas and other 3/5 assault mechs, so I can't complain about that. The Direwolf is supposed to be slow, but because of the CT hitbox it is way too fragile. Everything from any angle seems to hit the center torso especially LRMs, and because it is so slow and can't get to cover on a large map it is just a target. I understand that it has to be slow and maneuver like a whale that is the trade off for all the weapons and armor, but that armor is useless with the hit boxes the way they are. The Daishi/Direwolf is supposed to be able to absorb damage and dish it out as it ponderously makes its way around the battlefield, but I paid $55 for a glass cannon :D. Please PGI listen to all the feedback.

It's been in the game for two years, and is never getting changed. Accept it.

you mean that if the dire wolf hit-boxes gets fixed there will be no problem one year form now... good...good.! :D

the DW side hit-boxes need to extend forward to cover the nose a bit. also hits from above need a 25%-50%-25% damage distribution to all torsos...

the DW already paid the price by having no arm actuators... which makes it defense-less against lights and forces it to put its face on the line if it wants to shoot back.

and for gods sake... fix the goofy walking animation... its harmful to the human eye right now.

Of all the mechs this one Looks the worst. Everything about it is wrong its size, proportions, walking animations.

This is a Daishi right ? It feels more like a dimple.

Shooting them from the side seems to register CT, even when your not shooting for its boeing nose

Is the CT hitbox too big or the side torso hitbox too small?

yep... maybe that was a little bit exaggerated!!

Btw... Are you familiar with a mech by the name of stalker?... If so, do you know about its hitboxes?... Do you know that it can have ridiculous amount of firepower?

It's kind of ok . After 80 matches i have in direwolf a little less k/d and w/l statistics than in my old dakka 3e . Given that a lot of the matches were played with stange configs to learn the clans weapons the total feels ok . It's a death machine but slow , slow , slow , so slow that in some maps if your stating position is bad you will die in 30 seconds (volcano if you are a single dw in a fast lance and spawn in the extreme left of the front) Next time if i spawn there i'm going to power down and wait the battle circle back in front of me . Hitboxes are bad , but you can torso twist a little .Very little but at least is better to do it than not. I play it for the fun moments when the planets are aligned and you can go eating 2-3 oponents singlehandedly . In balance you get lrm-ed / focused to death a lot .Also the cockpit is very vulnerable , think catapult style . I have only a problem , the autocannons and especially uac5's are almost silent . This is very bad for a pretty unfun mech to play .

What do you people expected? To just walk straight and kill 10 enemy mechs without getting cored? Get real.

Main concern: Map spawns are screwed up in this game. Half of my deaths in Dire Wolf happen during first seconds of engagement on screwed up maps, ehere I have no opportunity to run away in this slow mech.

The CT hitbox definitely needs adjustment.

as most of the ppl say...ct takes all the damage even if you twist. other than than..its a slow walking brick. if anything gets close to you and its fast..you are dead ;)

I have the Masakari Collection of mechs and i have testet out the DWF for some time.
I feel that today an 3x Ultra AC20, 6ER PPC is terrible strong when (chain-fired) Clearly overpowered in my opinion.
My fellow playmate Lan that is an veteran MWO player have the same opinion.

Also the 6 x AC5 is a major problem when it can fit plenty of ammo and still have a few Medium-lasers to spare.
That build never gets hot either.

This needs to be looked in to because i can drop at 100 ton mech in seconds with all those builds.
If the game becomes unbalanced lots of players will leave.

Neither of those builds are very good in practice. The first will overheat immediately and you'll get your CT destroyed before you can power up again. The second build isn't really workable either against decent opponents. You simply cannot stare at an opponent for as long as it takes to get the kill (Clan ACs really aren't that good compared to IS ACs). Again, you'll lose your CT faster than your opponent and be the first one to die. Even if you somehow manage to win the duel, the next opponent will quickly dispatch your now bare CT.

Having begrudgingly played the mech more, I have learned a bit. I can have games where I do 800 dmg and games where I do 30, but I average around 3-400 now.

The CT hit box is around 5-10% too small on both the L/R torso. A 10-20% fix total will be all that's needed.
I have only once lost both torsos and been stripped of weapons.

Yes line of sight weapons are a problem on the ct, but lrms are the undeniable bane of this machine at the moment. Stalkers can absorb more missiles than this mech because they distribute better. Please PGI don't take my word for it, track the stats of DWs that die with both side torso's intact.

Yes the machine is slow but it's a (barely) mobile gun platform. It doesn't need ecm or faster movement. It's hard points are set in cannon, and it's an omni after all.

fix CT.

(there's no point in saying anything more because that's currently the biggest issue. It's quite disappointing but also expected from PGI)
