I can take a stormcrow and do the same speed with even more firepower and armour. Currently the clan srms are working terribly from my experience, the streaks even worse.

Odd, my experience is quite the opposite - are you having hitreg issues or some such? Because running even 2xCASRM6 on Old Crow makes me relive the glory days of the 4SP, when every press of my third mouse button resulted in Mech limbs flying.

Still the same AFAIK, but i haven't logged in for a while. Tbh there are so few players that i never really got the urge to learn to play it. I just log in occasionally to remember how beautiful the maps are ;)

Actually, I don't see all that many LRMs. Mostly I see Laser and AC boats as these are always more effective than LRMs. I suppose LRMs might interfere with AC and laser boats just rushing in though and this annoys some players, especially if they just rush into LRMs anyway.

I hear ya. I wish this game could actually bring in bigger maps like that.

Yup a lot of hitreg issues. A ping of 250 may be causing this issue but until PGI run some australian/asian servers there isn't a lot I can do about the ping.

That and the spread on the streaks combined with the massive cooldown and the weight penalty makes them worthless. Seen a 4 s-srm6 timber wolf unload on a cored cataphract and not one missile hit the centre torso. If your aimer isn't on the mech I have no problems with that sort of spread but if you've got your aimer on the mech it should be a lot tighter.

I dunno, but I had a thougt I might as well share here.

I was thinking what if LRM missile trajectory was more dynamic with range, where the closer the target the higher the arc and the farther the target the shallower the arc?

First day I saw a lot of Clan LRMs. The fact they looked cool tor fire and probably people want to try them out first. Second and third day, an increasing number of Mad Cats I see are stripping off LRM launchers for direct fire weapons.

If you do that you'll just have everyone complaining that the closer the LRM mech is the more it can fire over higher cover.

Clan LRM impulse needs brought in line with the other weapons. Its clearly a fat finger typo or error that slipped thru - from looking at all the weapon impulse values.

Other than that leave the dang things alone.

TBH, the weapons are already effective at shorter ranges. Changing that would reinforce that notion further.
