The second I was able to change my faction to what I originally wanted it to be, the seeds of my change of opinion were sown. Once I saw what the Timber Wolf was capable of, those seeds finally sprouted:

-New ECM mech (which can also sport 3 AMS)
-1/2 ton AMS ammo making it easier to take AMS
-new AMS module allowing you to shoot down more missile
-Radar Deprivation module is very effective LRM counter
-AMS range module
If you really hate LRMs that much, just run those three modules together. Something you can do on just about every mastered mech w/ at least 3 module slots, 2 crit slots, and 1 ton of weight.

Hi. Equip the radar deprivation module and enjoy a much-reduced LRM spam MWO existence.

LRMs are pretty well balanced right now, except for ECM and Radar Deprivation module, which both really hurt LRMs and don't matter nearly as much for anything else. If anything, the RD module needs a nerf (make it eliminate the base decay timer, but allow the [Adv] Target Decay module still to add the listed time), and ECM has needed a complete rework since its introduction (move from a hard counter system to one of soft counters).

Clans are great so far. My Wolverine, Stalker, Atlas, etc., love munching on them.

it requires both spatial and siturational awareness though:
IE: if you out in the open, all you can do is torso twist, or move perpendicular to direction of incoming fire to reduce the damage.
TBH: I am more annoyed by the poptarts with instant shot dmg than LRMs...
LRM.... unless they are close by, you know its coming.

It is called the "Radar Deprivation Module." Now a requirement on mechs.
